This is pretty much acknowledged as Jamie Lee Curtis' final scream queen film despite some later efforts like "Virus" & "Halloween H20". It is obviously from her younger years & followed Halloween, The Fog & Prom Night. It was released just before Halloween 2 which is just a continuation of Halloween, making this really her final scream queen film. This a tale of a hazing gone wrong! A nerdy pledge is lured into a bedroom by the voluptuous young Jamie Lee, who also doesn't know what is about to happen. The pledge us scared into a nervous breakdown & is sent to the local loony bin. a few years later as Jamie Lee & friends are set to graduate, they rent a steam engine train for a huge New Year's Eve party. It's a costume party that allows the released former pledge to slip on board after killing one of his prankers & donning his costume. He begins to kill of all those who wronged him as well as anyone else who gets in his way. Will Jamie Lee survive? This features an excellent surprise ending! I keep mentioning Jamie Lee as she is basically the only name actor in this film & it was pretty much made for her. However, those true fans will recognize western movie icon Ben Johnson as the conductor & a very young David Copperfield playing, of course, the magician. Despite the lack of a name cast, they perform very well making this an interesting & bizarre twist on the horror genre! It is a must for Jamie Lee & horror fans alike!Vollständige Rezension lesen
THIS WAS A PRE-USED COPY, OF THE MOVIE. I BOUGHT IT, OFF OF E-BAY. I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY NEPHEW. WE BOTH LOVE THIS OLD HORROR MOVIE. BUT, THIS COPY, HAD SOME SCRATCHES ON IT. SO, IT IS NOT THE GREATEST COPY. I SHOULD OF TRYED TO BUY A NEW COPY, OF THE MOVIE INSTEAD. THANK YOU ANYWAY.

I am torn as to whether this movie should be a 3/5 or a 4/5 (one being "average" the other "good"). It is a typical 80's horror movie with Jamie Lee Curtis, about a frat party on a train. Of course there is a killer on board. One of the big horror movie rules is - remember the weird/nerdy/quiet/etc guy who you made fun of/bullied/etc? He is the killer. Of course no one in these movies remembers that, and THAT is the reason they die. This is a 3 for most people, a 4 for 80's horror fans - you know who you are, don't deny it - embrace it!
Good movie
