NCAA football finally makes its debut on the 360. Using a modified XBOX 360 Madden 2006 engine, this game makes a nice first attempt at a college football game. The player graphics and the physics look great, especially in between plays and cut scenes. You will be in awe when you see the lighting off the player’s helmets, even more so if you have a high definition TV. The gameplay has been improved from the style of Madden 2006, giving a more realistic feel to the game. The commentary is good, and does not make you want to throw your controller through a wall when there is a dumb comment. This may be an improvement, but there are some issues though in the games tendency to “skip” with frames jumping or a play being executed choppy. This is even more apparent when playing online. This makes it very difficult to play defense because you always feel a step behind. The extra features that were not included in this version that are on the original XBOX system are disheartening. The features in the XBOX 360 version would be comparable to an NCAA release back in 2001, when comparing the features. I would love to have the “create a college” feature over tug-of-war any day. Plus, not all the real stadiums are in this game, which is upsetting when my Alma matter's stadium is absent. I must say that the achievements make any XBOX 360 user want to play the game more, and this is no exception. I think EA is realizing that they have made their previous games a bit too easy in their achievement goals. Final word – if you only have an XBOX 360, this is a great game to hold you over until Madden 2007 comes out, though if you have an original XBOX, this game might be better played on the old system due to the massive extras and smoothness of the gameplay.Vollständige Rezension lesen

The best thing about this game is the College Football Atmosphere. This game brings to life all the great things that go on during a college football game like fan reactions, mascot going crazy, bands, and last but not least the momentum. The gameplay for this game could improve. The players kind of run stiffly and dont make the smoothest cuts. The graphics and player design are awesome, they will take your breath away! Great graphics with decent gameplay make this game a good game and deffinitly worth buying on ebay! One of the major downfalls to me is that there is no more play maker feature. There used to be a feature that allowed you to design and make your own formations and plays to form your own playbook. If the gameplay got a little smoother and they added the make your own playbook feature, this would be a GREAT game.Vollständige Rezension lesen
This game was a great improvement over NCAA Football 06. Heismann mode is gone, well not necessarily the entire idea of it, but its been revamped too. I like the Campus Legend mode, taking tests, studying, meeting with tutors, practicing, doing skill drills, and attending social events really add depth to the game. I really like that they used the kicking style that was implemented in Arena football. I also like the special teams mode with the third person view, really slick. I like the more realistic spin and juke moves and the cooler talking styles, where you can drag a tackler along with you. Overall, good improvement over 06.
I've owned every NCAA Football game from ea sports since 2001. Every year, ea will add little minor tweaks here and there but never really did much improvement to the game until the 360 version came out. This game is what I've been wanting for years now, even though there are some flaws to the game. First, the good. The game is better than any other football game out there on any console including madden 07. The graphics and the stadiums are very well for the most part. Presentation is very well made as well. The sound is superb. I love the smart fans that ea has added to the game and that has added so much to the atmosphere and has made it more true. The ESPN tracker is a very nice touch to the game and makes it feel more genuine. I like that the game has many real sponsors to help make it as real as possible. Gameplay is highly better than anything out there and is very responsive. The game can be played much better now on the fly. The animations are also much better this year. The bad. Even though i cant complain much about this game, there are a few things that really irritate me. One of them being the weather. Rain and snow look horrible. It almost looks cartoonish. When it is snowing, there is no snow on the sidlines. In fact, they are totally green. This should have been recognized before they released the game. Another thing i hate is the player models. Yeah, they are very detailed but they look like they've been on steroids. The quarterbacks in this game look rediculously to big, even for pro football. The framerate actually isnt that bad and doesn't affect gameplay too much, but during some cut scenes, it is very notaceable and detracts from the pleasure of the eyecandy. The momentum feature in this game is a good concept if executed properly. To me, it made the game too arcadish. Fortunately, it can be removed on the options menue. Also watch out if you play online because it sux because of poor framrates. No create a school either. If you're worried about how the ai is, don't be too concerned. Go into the options and you can tweak the settings of the game to your hearts content. If you do this, there won't be anymore of those 125-3 games anymore. In fact, a lot of my games were close. My team is Michigan, and coming to my 7th season, i still have yet to win a national championship and i am a veteran to the series and take a great deal of time working on stradigy. If you pay attention to the big 10, it is a very tough conference. I was very pleased at how competative the games were and how much fun they were. You will still blow out crappy teams but yet have close games with good teams and always good rivalry games. Its all up to your preference in how you want to play. If you like to play the game for the right reasons, you'll enjoy the game. If you like all the extra fluff and bull found on the current gen games, then stick to those. Personaly, if the only had a very deep dynasty mode, that is enough for me. And this game does have a great dynasty and is everything youd expect but maybe i want i little more now. Maybe some more coaching options and even a create a coach thing would be cool too, like the tiger woods game face options. But please get rid of the mini games. I don't want to play tug a war, i want to play some old fashioned football. All in all, if you actually read this long review, it comes down to a very solid and excellant football game for all ages.Vollständige Rezension lesen
