Great Bible for Those Loving America & History
Let me begin by saying that since I review books for Thomas Nelson, I did not buy this book. I had planned to purchase it as I am curious about the Christian roots and heritage of America, saw a link to Thomas Nelson, the publisher, and discovered that I could get the Bible for free if I reviewed it, so I did. What did I like about the Bible? I loved the antique coloring and the richness of the color pictures throughout. I enjoyed reading Scripture and seeing how those, in my mind's eye at the time, tired, old folks that nobody knew or wanted to know about (think of Elementary School Social Studies, American History, etc) were God-fearing men and women who played a terrific role in the founding of and early life of America. I also became aware of my ignorance about the values that ... Let me begin by saying that since I review books for Thomas Nelson, I did not buy this book. What did I like about the Bible? I loved the antique coloring and the richness of the color pictures throughout. I enjoyed reading Scripture and seeing how those, in my mind's eye at the time, tired, old folks that nobody knew or wanted to know about (think of Elementary School Social Studies, American History, etc) were God-fearing men and women who played a terrific role in the founding of and early life of America. I also became aware of my ignorance about the values that many of the people who established our country and who continue to labor in it have, and the importance of having a moral compass to guide us through life. I would not buy a separate book that featured these men and women who are peppered throughout this study Bible and likely make many of the connections to the Scriptures that are abundantly clear the way the Bible is laid out. It is easy to read, engaging and has room for notes. What I disliked about the Bible is that there is not specific help on how to apply Scriptures to one's life but remember, the audience for this book appears to be people who are interested in America, our history as a Christian nation...or to explore the possibility that we once were, as well as someone who may have a loved one laboring on American military and who may want to get a handle on why they may be doing what they do. I am sure that there are other target audiences for this Bible and, once I thought about who this particular Study Bible may have been written for, I no longer had an issue with the lack of guidance offered to someone in application of the true meat of this book: The Word of God. I would not recommend this Bible for someone who wanted to study the Scriptures and who needed some assistance in understanding and applying th Word, but I would highly recommend it for anyone fitting what I believe to be the target audience.

The Bible is EVERYTHING AS IT IS GODS WORDS FOR US TO KNOW, FOLLOW & KEEP US CLOSE WITH HIM, so how can it bless us even further???? Actually it can, as it has everything you truly need to know if you love your country. String authentic rich color photos & the very words of our founding fathers & Patriots who framed our country around Gods words & understanding as a REPUBLIC UNION OF STATES. A Democracy ALWAYS CORRUPTS WITHIN THEN COLLAPSES but…. Of ALL SYSTEMS OUR FOUNDERS FOUND A REPUBLIC IS THE ONLY WAY TO SUSTAIN &GROW IN SELF RELIANCE . Moral & ethical Godly self behavior with a sense of true community & brotherly love is how we grew to the greatest nation on earth, but as we throw away our morals, ethics & God for “ do what ever, floats your boat” & a failure in the churches to ... The Bible is EVERYTHING AS IT IS GODS WORDS FOR US TO KNOW, FOLLOW & KEEP US CLOSE WITH HIM, so how can it bless us even further???? Actually it can, as it has everything you truly need to know if you love your country. String authentic rich color photos & the very words of our founding fathers & Patriots who framed our country around Gods words & understanding as a REPUBLIC UNION OF STATES. Get out & build self esteem by volunteering & meeting new friends who are worth more than gold, because your worth more than a thumbs up or down or being cancelled by people that should be busy pulling the speck out of their own eyes. God love America , America love God back.

Like this Bible!
Over the past year, since discovering this Bible, I have purchased approximately 6 or 7 of them, given every one away and just bought myself another. Why? Because it is a great devotional Bible and a good resource of ideas. Get one and enjoy! Put three book marks in it: One in Genesis and read a page or two a day. One in Proverbs and read the Proverb every day that matches that day of the month... And one in Matthew to also use to read a page or two a day. When you're done, move the book marks back and start over. This is a great Bible to do that with. Great version of the Bible
Beautiful copy of the Bible. It's like having the Bible and an American history book in one volume. The history articles are very interesting. The font size and the NKJV make this book easy to read.

If your interested in American history and wish to discover what role God played in its founding, this is a great book that gives you the mind set that our founding fathers based the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and even the building of Washington DC and its monuments.
