Product Information

After landing on the beaches of Normandy, soldiers spread out to liberate Europe from the Nazi regime. In Call of Duty 3, single players focus on the stories of four Allied soldiers that begin at Operation Cobra, and leads to the eventual Liberation of Paris. Game room generals will lead the group through 14 missions filled with multiple attack routes as a member of either the American, British, Polish, and Canadian armies. Each path requires the use of special tactics in order to navigate the course effectively.

Soldiers come equipped with special skills such as the British SAS soldier's knack for sabotage and the Canadian mechanized infantry's expertise at inventive vehicles. The Wii controller is used in all aspects of combat, and players must use the motion sensor technology to reload, throw a grenade, row a boat, and wield a dagger. Environments include deformable objects such as piles of wood that move and splinter when shot and players may destroy soft cover to flush enemies out in the open. Additional "Battle Action" invites gamers to shoot less and get their hands dirty setting C-4 charges and fighting Germans with their bare hands.

  • Best FPS for Wii

Are you a first-person-shooter addict? Are you disappointed in the availability of quality FPS titles on the Wii? Well, pick up a copy of COD3 (Call of Duty 3) for a Wii-bit of fun, mate. Its better, in subtle ways, than its nearest competitor MoH Vanguard. COD gets the Wii remote and nunchuk system, allowing you to not only toss grenades, but to return-to-sender incoming nasties - if you are quick enough. Allowing you to drive jeeps, tanks, site mortars and howitzers-guns. Allowing you to fight hand-to-hand with the Gerries. Allowing you to "spot" tanks and artillary for air strikes. It isn't all run and gun... Your choice of weaponry spans across some 50+ guns, all stylishly represented with various levels of kick in the Wii-mote. The scoped sniper rifle plays prominently ...

  • COD3(Wii) - great game with a few quirks

This is a great game that can be had pretty cheap ($15-25) here on eBay. Have been a COD fan since the first one on PC. This version for the Wii is very addicting and overall a great game, however I think I enjoyed the first COD on PC better. Perhaps it's the lack of online multiplayer play with this version, I don't know. Some of the weapnory is limited - no M1 carbine (my favorite!), no Colt .45. I did NOT like the parts where you're driving a jeep - I found it difficult to steer with the wii-mote/nunchuck. There are a few bugs here and there - I would sometimes get stuck in places unable to move and would have to start over or kill myself with a grenade. On one level the game would not let me have a weapon for the first minute or so of play. Besides these quirks, it's an awesome ...

  • Feel Like Part of WWII!!!

Pros + Innovative controls put you in the game & get you involved. + Trademark 'Call of Duty' small part of a big war action. + Realistic weapons & improved sniping & better tank driving than the previous installment. + Intense gameplay througout the whole game. Cons - Doesn't stand up graphically to other next-gen versions. - No multiplayer whatsoever despite the Wii's ability for online play. - Lots of glitches that make the game almost unplayable on harder difficulties like the CPU always knowing where you are & useless teammates. - Shortage of checkpoints. Comments There aren't many improvements to the series but there are quite a few more glitches. These glitches are usually obvious & frustrating to deal with. You will also ...

  • a really good time so far

im about 5 hours in. this, like all the other wii games i have (zelda, far cry, excite truck, madden 07) is a tough one to put down. once you get a hang of the controls, this game can be a really good time. as long as your not a graphics snob. granted, they could've done a better job on the graphics, but this system was designed to be imaginative and fun, not a graphical collossus. the little action commands (gun battles, planting explosives) can be a little frustrating, but there still is no part of the game than i can say wasnt fun. after playing this and far cry, id have to say i like far cry a little more, mainly because of the environment. but i gotta say, going back to regular console FPS isnt very cool at all after these awsome experiences. deffinitely pick this one up.

  • Call od Duty 3

I bought Call of Duty 3 for the Nintendo Wii several weeks ago, and I enjoyed the game a great deal. The game is relatively easy to learn, and you are thrown into the thick of action in no time at all. The controls were simple and fun. The wii remote added a new level to first person shooters that hasn't been seen before. In a sense, it calls upon the old days of Duck Hunt, pointing and shooting at the screen. The only thing I disliked about the game was the shortness. I had beaten the game in only a few days on the normal setting. Like other Call of Duty games, there is nothing unlocked, so there is relatively little replay value. The game is so much fun that the shortness of the game is actually kind of disappointing. Overall though, I felt that it was worth the money spent.
