I bought this to replace a tefal steam generator iron which gave up after 15 years. Although this is quite heavy it is so brilliant and so quick and being used to a heavy one before it suits me fine. Does what it says on the tin and the 6bar steam pressure irons even the thickest of clothes perfectly and when only needing to iron one side. Extremely good price and great style.

I've used many irons over the years, and a lot have been Tefals and the GV8461 has been the best yet ... I'm on my third of this model and have bought another for when #3 eventually dies.

The item arrived promptly, BUT......it was very badly packed.....the outer cardboard box was up side down and the inner contents had polystyrene totally disintegrated and destroyed.......who is to blame DHL perhaps ???? Fortunately the item is in perfect working order, but I am disgusted in the way it was packed, someone needs to be responsible for this !
