Product Information

Although it offers its share of authentically equipped, WWII shooter action, Brothers in Arms is a squad-based game that requires players to manage and deploy their three-soldier teams intelligently in order to meet mission challenges. Instead of a straightforward run-and-gun progression, the game's situations are designed such that players may need to move their men around the battlefield to recon the surroundings, provide cover fire, and pin down the enemy, before they move in for the final kill. The adventure begins with the D-day airdrop over Normandy, and missions follow situations faced by various members of the real-life 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment. The player's character, Matt Baker, is also based on the stories of an actual World War II paratrooper. In addition to its action and tactical challenges, Brothers in Arms also incorporates some role-playing styled decision-making. While the game's AI is intended to provide for competent, self-preserving squad-members, is also endows them with human wants and fears. Baker must consider his teammates interests as if they were real people -- his "Brothers in Arms" -- in order to keep their trust and have them follow his orders effectively.

Intelligent characters, beautiful countryside, gut wrenching, authentic war play.
Brand new games that first came on the market in stores 15 years ago. I was not aware of them back then. If I had known of them then, I would have purchased them then--but at a much, much higher price. Very challenging game play that will entertain this old gamer for quite some time.

still a great game considering the year it game out
I play sargent matt baker in all the brothers of arms games it tells a continue story of baker. I think this is the first one that came out I play the second one, but on to the game. this is a three level game easy, hard, realistic I am playing hard level single player and it is a challenging believe me after buying this game you will want to collect all of them to see how it turn out for matt baker you wont be disapointedI play sargent matt baker in all the brothers of arms games it tells a continue story of baker. Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
I loved the graphics, as well as the way it followed history. One thing that alot of games leave out are the gliders used during the Normandy Invasion. BIA followed that to a T. The landscape of the French countryside looked great in the game. It made me wish i could visit the drop zones, the beaches and the small towns that the allies invaded sixty three years ago and pushed out the Hitler's occupying troops. Games like this makes me wonder how any of the troops of the 101st ever made it home again. All around, it was an excellant game, I cant wait until I can get the next segment of "Brother's in Arms"I loved the graphics, as well as the way it followed history. What I thought
It wasn't what I thought it would be I thought it was a computer board game. But the price was right.

A good bag for the buck
pro. = lots of good action and challenging schene changes. Tactics is the name of the game. con. = accuracy with weapon sighting is very poor. Movement with multible units like armor and infentry combined is sluggish and confusing. Most annoying you can not save during the game. Overall rated good. A reasonable game experience for the price.
