You begin with climber's boots tied tightly for the battle ahead, at first all that is apparent to stop you from reaching the top is your own stamina and skill for rock climbing. Midway, your toes began to sweat like melting chocolate from all of the distractions made of burning soil. Then, out of nowhere the mountain erodes with dust flying everywhere.You are blown off course, but somehow you do not completely fall off your track. You look on in both fear and admiration of what is to lie ahead. You decide, the boots are not worth it. They come off! As you continue with naked feet the most unbelievable epiphany comes to you. Without the comfort of the foot wear you started with, you are climbing to your destination with less ease but with more precision. You know you must concentrate now more than ever on doing the little things right in order to even stand a chance.You giggle to yourself knowing that the outcome you yearn for is improbable., - I speak of victory, not victim, triumph and not defeat; I have buried hopelessness in the cemetery of compete; the slum was not born in me, but in the born elite; what once left me void; I have conquered to become complete; all my life has been a rock climb, traveled in the bareness of my feet. excerpt from title poem: "Rock Climbing With My Bare Feet". Item in condition described. The shipment tracking was completely opaque and shipping was slow. The seller used a third-party shipping solution provider that gave a USPS tracking number, but, USPS had no real tracking info. I was not able to see any delivery estimate until the day before it arrived. When the delivery date estimate finally materialized, it was off by two days, saying arrival would be on e.g. the 5th when it actually arrived on the 3rd.
