    A masterful presentation of the Christ's suffering with informative extras.

    A great set of DVDs! First, the final cut of the movie, a graphic portrayal of the most famous execution in history when the Son of God laid His life down for the sins of the world. The second DVD offers special features from the Director, Mel Gibson, and cast and crew about the making of the movie, and the history and inspiration behind it.

    A must watch for everyone 18 and older

    This film is an excellent portrayal of the end of Jesus the Christ's life on Earth. Wether you are a Christian or not, this film should be watched just for the historical value. I don't feel that Jesus' life on Earth can be disputed. Wether you believe he was the Christ or not is up to you. I did not grasp, before watching this film, what He actually went through for us while he was here with us. We all can say "He died for our sins", but until you see this you can not even come close to understanding what exactly He went through for us. The film is VERY gory and disturbing in many parts so I would not advise younger children to watch it. The movie is subtitled, but I feel being in the native tongue it adds to the movie. If you do not care much for history and are not a Jesus fan ...

    Heavy but excellent movie.

    Very well made movie, heavy and sometimes hard to watch. Whether or not you believe that this is factual is entirely up to you. I can recommend it. The soundtrack is excellent as well.

    What love is shown by Jesus and Mary.

    This movie is based on the writing of a mystic and correlates perfectly. The music is beautiful. The way the movie and music was written, it gives the viewer a rest from the horrific brutality done to Jesus...Who is total love.

    great subject matter 2 people in bible class translated it for us great film matter and well done but not in english that we could ttell
