Martial arts on steroids
I came across this movie a couple of years ago and have already watch the first one, so I figured I would give it a try. It starts off with chris penn competing in a secret underground fight club, and yes there is a catch, you must fight to the death! Wayne newton happens to be the announcer on what they call the Colosseum, penn unknowingly about the death catch policy ends up deceased! Roberts and tommy stir up a hornet's nest when they come sniffing around for their friend, now they must flee for their life's . They head up to tommys childhood home, with the bad guys not too far behind! With a dramatic end, tommy must face off furious opponests in colosseum for the fight of his life! What really stuck out in my mind was the amazing tommy lee, this movie is truly his rise to fame. ... Best ob the Best martial arts movies
The Best of the Best series is sort of an adult version of The Karate Kid, with 4 guys looking to use their martial arts skills in competitions. The first movie had the 4 (Eric Roberts, Philip Rhee, Chris Penn, and David Agresta teaming up to take on a Korean super team in Korea. The second movie has Chris Penn, Eric Roberts, and Philip Rhee taking on a mob boss who owns a nightclub that had a "gladiator" arena for entertainment. Unfortunately for Penn, it ends not only his career but his life. The third movie continues as Philip Rhee and Eric Roberts take on white supremists who have taken over a small town. Martial arts isn't the only action in this movie, as there are car chases, and barroom fights. This is an extremely entertaining series (there is also a 4th movie with only Rhee, ... Awesome movie!
Love this movie! Yeah the story is a bit thin and it didn't have the biggest budget but I've always been a fan off Eric Roberts. Philip Rhee is highly underrated as a martial artist and does a good job with the fight scenes. Not to mention the memories it brings back!

Best of the Best -Do-!
Please get this movie. If you are considering it at all I suggest doing it. It is a great movie. If you have seen it in the past you need it for nostalgia purposes. If you haven t seen it you need to own it. It helps if you've seen best of the best 1 first but it doesn't matter. They show BotB 1 on TNT and stuff all the time. But this is the only way you're going to get your hands on Best of the Best 2. If you ask me I say get it. Especially at these prices. ~~MarcusPlease get this movie.
