The Aorus GTX 1080 Ti is very cool when manually setting the fans to 60%. It’s barely audible, and it runs around 60 C. However, overclocking this card isn’t as good. Going into MSI afterburner, I was hardly able to get much in over clocking. I got +55 MHz on the core, and +400 MHz on the memory. The card runs at 2Ghz stable during game play with GPU boost 3.0. However, most people can get their 1080 Ti’s to 2.1 GHz with +500 MHz on memory. I’m not saying that it matters too much . Realistically, it’s a 1-2 FPS difference. If you’re wanting the best binned 1080 Ti, I would look elsewhere.

Pros: Good performance as expected, works well with 4xx nvidia driver Cons: Inconvenient design of the cooling system make it impossible to install the card holder bar.

Has the best thermal design I have seen on a graphics card (except water solutions). Purchased for 734$ on superbiiz since newegg didn't have any in stock. This card compared to EVGA is good value. I am still an EVGA fan because the products from EVGA are rock solid components. The difference between this card and other cards is that the design and engineering that went with it. The copper base plate that is between the heatsink and memory make a difference with the stacked 100mm fans. The RGB craze I don't care for but rather performance. Any 1080 Ti performs within 1-2% margins at stock speeds. This card can overclock to 2025mhz but I don't care to get it any further as my Ryzen 1700 @ 4.0ghz with 2933mhz ram pushes it fine for 1080p-2k gaming with most games well above 100fps at all times. Doom runs 200fps(the cap) with Vulkan 1080p Ultra. The Division 125fps Ultra 1080p. Card doesn't exceed 70c with 100% usage with default afterburner fan curve with card set 125% power limit.Vollständige Rezension lesen

It's a beast of a GPU, but can run pretty hot. Under full load stress testing reaching into the 80 Celsius range. For games should stay little lower. Best to use afterburner and get a more aggressive fan profile to keep it cooler, or have a pretty good chassis with better air flow and male sure ambient temp is cool or AC. When playing tomb raider 1080p I was getting 45 celsius which is great. With that said it's worth it as it slaya any games you throw at it even in 4k. 1080p it kills them all.

Gigabyte's Auros product division ranked high amongst great competition in hindsight, looking back now to 2017. Motherboards and graphic cards of varying PCB designs for Intel, Nvidia & AMD were manufactured as consistent, exemplary, stellar &, fresh engineering entries from the stalwart tech company. There are but two "better designed" power delivery partitions attached to any enthusiast line of 1080 ti, the exceptional Kingpin by HoF & the legendary Lightning, the preeminent sample by MSI. This pair are specialty engineered for liquid nitrogen cooling and thus applicable to a fraction of a percentage point's fraction. The Auros, with it's fully metal shroud encompassing a broad & dense copper block covering the entirety of active components (GPU die, VRM, & GDDR5X RAM) that extends into 5 thick pipes of copper completely engulfed within tight, vertical layers of aluminum. On the reverse is a back- mounted copper plate embedded in the metal plate , twice as large on the extreme edition but still broad enough to exchange heat on the nearly identical standard Auros 1080 ti. The opposite face features 3 90mm fans, the two on the outside rotating clockwise and the center unit spinning counter with steeply angled fins allowing for substantial overlap creating a fan-stack that is whisper quiet pushing 2088Mhz boost clock and memory that reaches 5500MHz with ease. The best video card I've ever used, not focusing exclusively on performance, but on this sheer incredible design and integration of the fantastic heatsink fan and windforce stack. Worth every penny.Vollständige Rezension lesen
