I bought a new guitar, hand build by some guy in Romania but playing live was told on a couple of occasions it sounded a little harsh. So I used my usual fix which is a set of Martins .Phew! It now sounds as good as any acoustic I have owned in the past. (and there have been a few). So don't stress yourself about tone, just fit martins. Tez

Bought these for my grandson and he reckons they are the best he has tried. I have bought him a popular brand that is much more expensive but he says that these strings feels and sound much better. They were also easier to put on and adjust. I have just ordered more as he wants plenty to keep in stock. We definitely recommend these strings.

I was skeptical at first with martin strings given the lower price point compared to D'addario or Elixr but they really do perfom and sound really bright in comparison. I can't comment on the lifespan so far as they have only been on a week with about an hours worth of playing each day, so far they have held up well I found that there was a lot of fade in the colour of other brands i have used but these look the same as they did last week with little fade in colour compared to others. I have a pack of martin 12 string guitar strings to try out. I will update this if possible.

Though I play both a Gibson J200 and a Guild D512 (12 string) I always use Martin strings. I have been using Martin Extra Light gauge (11's) but now find these Light's give a better tone. Only reason for only giving 4 stars is that the last batch I had were showing a little corrosion (played fine though). It won't stop me buying these in future.

Superb Martin Light gauge strings (12-54s) Great full-bodied sound, have that Martin bronze wound distinctive quality sound. Bright yet mellow too. A joy to play! Highly recommended
