Seems like there are a lot of LG EnV Touch VX11000 used and like new cell phones available. Either it's a popular phone or a lot of people dumped theirs in order to get something else. I had an EnV3 for a long time so I was used to the layout and the functions. The LG EnV Touch is a nice transition step from a flip style phone towards a smart phone. I actually like the the standard keys inside the flip phone section. It's much easier for texting than newer touch screen phones, IMO. The EnV Touch still has touch features on the front panel that work rather well, also. This is a very functional phone with a few nice bells and whistles for the person who wants a smart-like phone with the familiarity of standard key functions. I like it better than the EnV3. 7.5 - 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.
I bought this phone as a Christmas gift for someone who just didn't want a smart phone and yet still wanted some nice features. The EnV Touch is a very nice compromise. The offerings for higher end feature phones is dwindling, in my opinion. Again, not everyone wants a smart phone! I reseached and did side by side comparisons for a couple of months before I hit the green light. This is a great phone for texting! The other specific feature I was looking for was 'more font size options'. For those who are visually challenged, enough said. This phone has several font sizes to choose from. The display is a 3" display which is decent and bigger than any other verizon feature phone that I could find. The risistive touch works well once you get used to it, but obviously doesn't compare with capacitive touch. I can't really think of a big thing I don't like....except the ringtones. In my opinion, they are horrible. For those of you who are tech savy, you will figure out how to get decent sounds without paying verizons subscription prices for downloaded ringers. The only other issue with the phone was a glich right out of the box. Two different times, the back light did not come on when I booted up the phone. However, the problem has not happened since. I would have no problem recommending this phone to others.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I bought this phone as a replacement, and to be honest didn't really want it. It was closest to the phone I had before, worked with my plan, and was affordable. However, the second I turned it on, I was impressed by the amazing quality of the phone. The display is bright and active, the resolution is beyond what I was expecting from a phone of this age. The touchscreen is a bit dated, and actually requires pressure instead of easily movable. Another issue faced with a lot of touch screens is if it gets too warm, it doesn't respond. I haven't tried it in a New York winter yet, so it's response to cold is still unknown. Another little complaint is the battery. I bought this used and it gets 12 hours of battery life, even though I text and tweet constantly via SMS, resulting in a couple hundred texts a day. That's amazing, BUT, when charging, the battery gets very warm and sometimes the touchscreen doesn't respond so well to that. But these are all complaints that happen to every phone. The interface is gorgeous, with two "themes" pre-installed, and easy to use. There are actually THREE keyboards; a T9 layout when the touchscreen is vertical, a virtual QWERTY keyboard when the touchscreen is horizontal, and a physical QWERTY keyboard when the phone is flipped open. Both screens are of amazing quality. The camera is a big deal to me. The 3.2 megapixel camera seems way more powerful than that. This phone doesn't have zoom, which is a bit frustrating, but it takes excellent quality photos on the go. Very happy with that. The sleek design, simple yet gorgeous layout, and the quality you get for a basic phone makes this easily my most favorite phone I've owned, by far. I'll buy another, just for backup. Greatest non-Smartphone out there, in my opinion.Vollständige Rezension lesen
Downgraded from an original Droid with a data plan. Got tired of paying for the data when I was only using less than 75 megabytes per month. Verizon wouldn't work with other options, so I researched basic phones with functions I needed. This phone fills the void nicely with a touch screen (although slow to respond compared to contemporary smart phones), GREAT keyboard, and many tools to make your life a little easier. Plus the battery life with minimal usage has been 4 days!! My Droid HAD to be charged every night sometimes twice a day. The only thing that kept me from giving this all 5 stars is the fact that this phone will "pocket dial" very easy. I have done it more times than I can remember. It is built very well, performs great, has 3.5mm jack for headphones, great bluetooth, speaker phone, and call quality is excellent. Overall, a great buy. I paid about $30 for mine used, and even though it does show wear, it works as it should. I would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a very good feature phone and doesn't want to have data on their plan.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I purchase this phone due to the fact that I'm not satisfied with the new lines of phones offered by Verizon. This phone is very user friendly and being a big guy the key pad has big enough keys that I don't fat finger the letters or numbers. I don't like the touch screen, it always seems to have a layer of film across it from body oils. This phone doesn't have a lot of useless features that most of the newer phones do. I don't need or want all the internet features as I have a notebook in my car, a laptop at my home and a desktop at work. I don't need or want all the Internet access, I get enough. I would buy this phone again if Verizon doesn't come up with a phone with user friendly physical features.
