I already owned one these previously and dropped it in water, so I figured buying another would be easier since I had owned items that fit it. Its a good pone, easy to use aps. decent screen size, three backgrounds to seperate aps for easier use. The keyboard was a great help since I tend to text close to a thousand messages a day, and the touch screen is a great function. Only problem I have is the battery life. I returned the original but it didnt matter, so to fix my problem I bought an extra battery to carry as a back-up. Not the best solution but it worked.
I just bought my second Flight 2 due to the phone speaker totally dying out two weeks after the warranty expiring. I had to answer all calls through the speaker phone. I still had another 10 months on my AT and T contract so I decided to get another one before I switch providers. The phone itself is pretty nice if you are looking for a touch screen with a slide out qwerty keyboard. I can't tell you about internet usage, because I don't have a data package for the phone. The phone also works well as an mp3 player. I use a 16gb sd card so it can handle a ton of music. The camera is very basic. It isn't a feature you would buy this phone for. I would recommend this phone to someone who likes to text a lot and doesn't need a data plan.
The Flight II is semi-smart but doesn't require a data plan. So you can keep your costs down, especially if you have other devices to use with wifi or a non-phone data provider. I owned this model for 4 years and wanted the same one when I recently lost it. To my surprise, my contacts were retrieved from ATT storage. Data plan can be purchased for it, but I found the screen content very difficult to control. The slider feature has endured much use.
This is a nice, practical little phone. I don't really require all the bells and whistles of so many smart phones, nor do I have the money for the exorbitant plans. This phone is easy to use, though the battery life could be a bit better. The keypad is compact but the keys are sufficiently spaced. The touch screen is responsive, and built into the phone are many shortcuts to get you where you need to go efficiently and effectively. At the end of the day, it does exactly what I need it to do.
I upgraded from a 'flip' phone because I wanted to be able to easily send text messages. I wanted an ATT (SIM card) phone with a physical qwerty keyboard. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a phone. This phone fit those requirements. However, by comparison to the flip phone, battery life is less than half. That's to be expected with the larger screen size and processor. I like the physical keyboard and screen user interface but don't like the extra buttons on the side of the phone which frequently get pressed unintentionally during calls. The processor can be sluggish at times. I don't like all the worthless widgets I will never use but can't delete. I put them on the last page/screen of my menu so I won't activate them unintentionally and run up my bill. The screen can be a complete washout in bright sunlight. I removed the little cover over the charging/interface USB port. It's an inconvenience since I'm recharging more now (every day or two). The old flip phone had no such 'aesthetic' but otherwise useless cover. Overall I'm satisfied with the phone, it works and didn't cost too much. I would not recommend this phone to friends because it's probably near the end of it's product life cycle. Also my friends tend to divide cell phone wise between the ultra simple/convenient/disposable flip phones and the latest expensive smart phones...this phone is neither.Vollständige Rezension lesen
