  • Might have won me over but absolutely no story-line or plot, yet effective.

Wishing & hoping for a sci-fi thrill, I was surprisingly shocked that this film was actually just a string of discombobulated scenes that didn't seem to have much direction. Someone said it best when they described the film as "Battlefield Earth" marries "The Matrix" and then has an affair with "Ultra Violet" & after a bit of philandering around, the end result is the bastard child we now can call Resident Evil:Afterlife. How on "God's green earth" did Paul Anderson talk Milla Jovovich into playing another one of these roles is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, I think she's the hottest thing ever to hit the big screen, but this RE kills any other chance. Paul seems to have a disconnect with reality and short and long term memory loss when it comes to the direction of this film. There seems ...

  • Loves me some zombies

I've been a fan of this francise ever since the video games. However the movies stray from the original story line, they still constain most of the key elements that made the games exciting and frightening. The first movie being my favorite, each sequel manages to maintain, adding characters and element from the games. Action packed and fast paced, this movie would have scored an excellent from me if it would have been more claustrophobic, suspenceful and gory. If you are a fan of the genre or just like a good action/horror movie that's popcorn freindly, you'll enjoy this latest addition to the franchise.

  • Resident Evil: Afterlife (Blu-ray Disc, 2010)

OK. This is the first time I have reviewed anything I have bought on e-bay. And I have bought A LOT of items on e-bay. Just thought I would give a review of an item a try. First, I love the Resident Evil series movies. They are just entertaining and fun, especially if you like the zombie/action type movies, with the hero as a tough cool female character with a lot of different guns and gun-fire, sword fights, etc. And the main character, Milla Jovovich, is not bad to look at either. If you are looking for an Academy Award Oscar type drama movie, this ain't it. It's not suppose to be realistic, have a creative dialogue, have scenes that totally make sense, or have a very serious critique. Not everything has to be explained or closely analyzed in these types of movies. I do not ...

  • A great zombie action movie worth the money.

I bought the Resident Evil trilogy, and it is definitely my favorite zombie action movie set, so I had to get Afterlife. I've heard many people say they were dissappointed with it and it was there least favorite out of the R.E. movies, but that is not my opinion. I actually liked Afterlife and feel it's a toss up between it and Extinction as my favorite of the four. The movie was done well and has some interesting twists, of course. One complaint I've heard is that they should have done more with the Alice clones, and sure they could have, but it didn't really bother me. The end leaves you in suspense for another movie. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion, if you're a fan of Res. Evil.

  • Not Awful

After the trilogy was complete I didn't expect another movie in the series. I'm not usually a fan of sequels, most of them are a poor effort at getting a few bucks out of an established franchise. Still this movie was not at all bad. The plot wasn't as developed as the previous ones, but it did pull off a few good surprises. The acting was uniformly good. The action sequences, which sold this series in the first place, were first rate. All in all, if you enjoy the horror/action genre this movie won't disappoint you.
