Frankie Muniz reprises his role as teenage CIA agent Cody Banks in this sequel directed by Kevin Allen (THE BIG TEASE, TWIN TOWN). Cody's parents believe that he is having a blissful summer as a counselor at sleep-away camp. Little do they know that Kamp Woody is really a secret CIA training camp for kids, and that their sixteen-year old son has been sent to London to track down the camp's director, Diaz (Keith Allen), a demoted agent with a diabolical plot. Diaz is planning to join forces with British aristocrat Lord Duncan Kenworth (James Faulkner) and take control of the world using stolen mind control software implanted in the teeth of world leaders. Dispatched to London to foil Diaz's plan, Banks is provided with an array of cool gadgets, such as explosive Mentos (a mint candy) and a retainer that doubles as a tracking device, as well as a fully loaded black London cab that James Bond would love. Meanwhile, lovely Emily (Hannah Spearitt) from Scotland Yard's teen training division is on the case as well. Anthony Anderson plays Derek, an agent who is assigned to assist Banks during his London adventure.

Not as good as the first one....
And the first one wasn't that great. There is something about pre-teen/kids movies these days that scream, "Make me cheesy, make me bad!!, and this one follows those words to the par. I fairly enjoyed the first one, I own it on dvd. I thought the idea was clever and the acting/plot/props were pretty good(with the exception of the Hilary Duff love scenes..ohhhhhh!) So, I also thought this one might be worth a watch too. I bought it, stuck it in the dvd player and this is what I thought. Pros: 1)This is a pretty family-oriented movie(with the exception of course that Cody tends to lie to his family quite a bit) 2)This is a great time-waster for little kids. The movie is not unbearable, so you can be in the house at the same time and not want to kill yourself, and it has enough action to ... And the first one wasn't that great. Ex: In the first movie, the bad guys were fairly realistic. This one, however, paints the bad guys as imcompetent idiots. 2)The story is not as strong here. Sequels need to have a stronger, more interesting tale to keep the audiences interested for one more round; this one fails miserably. Conclusion: I didn't enjoy this one, though the movie makers didn't intend it for my age. Little kids might stay interested, depending on what they like.

Kept the neice and nephew watching, fairly tame.
I purchased this DVD on the advice of a friend, (or her children, to be specific...) Fairly cute, a little violent (but I am 39, no children and often surprised at what is acceptable these days...) and overall enjoyable. For the kids. From the CIA training facility disguised as a summer camp to the tracking-device retainer (GOD knows what they paid that orthodontist) for teenaged him to the really good looking Scotland Yard teenaged her who saves his behind, it is definitely a pre-teen movie.
