It is a light shoulder protector, provides basic level of protection and is suitable for clay shooting. If you are willing to shoot heavy loads, then you will need a thicker protector. I found it to be convenient and of a good quality. After half a day of light loads shooting my shoulder felt OK and I can recommend it to anyone who does a bit of shooting now and then. Verdict: Good quality product for light shooting. Recommended.

would i recommend it yes it is well made BUT interesting fitting style you feel like you have a shoulder holster on, The Buts are two in my view one the padding feels a bit thin but i have not used it in action yet, it maybe fine but i have tried it on and lifting my gun , when you get the gun into position it pushes the padding into your neck which is not comfortable . i am hoping that it will soften with use. Otherwise OK time will tell

Absorbs gun impact well. It's well put together and looks very smart; it's also easy to wear.

Bought as present for grandson whose shoulder bruised. After using the Jack Pyke shoulder pad for the first time, no bruises, great.
