The camera itself is in very good condition but seller did not disclose the fact that the image stabilization no longer works on this camera. Very easy to tell because the icon on LCD blinks constantly in red. 3 out of the 6 Pen cameras I have bought from Japan have this issue. None stated this problem. I think this should be the first thing to reveal about these cameras. Other than that, the camera arrived quickly and was packaged with care.

Die wohl beste Reisekamera aller Zeiten. Sie ist in der Konstruktion sehr ausgewogen, es gibt keinen Flaschenhals. Es ist sehr schade dass Olympus diese Kamera nicht mehr produziert. Ich habe mir gebraucht eine Zweite gekauft.

My Year With the Stylus 1
I enjoy photography as an amateur and own both DSLRs and a couple of compacts. After a year with the Olympus Stylus 1, it has become my go-to camera in every day situations where I want to get the shot without carrying around equipment. Built-in lens has a great zoom range that can be doubled with a digital crop feature. Auto focus is very fast and the image quality is very good. This is a complex little camera that can be customized in ways that are best understood by reading the online manual. Small, light weight, & feature rich, I really enjoy mine. Too bad Olympus has quit making this excellent camera. Olympus Stylus S1
The best of Olympus in a single package. This small camera features a great zoom lens at f2.8 throughout. A good value package new, but an outstanding bargain used. When you can’t or don’t want to take the interchangeable lens camera along, but want more than your smartphone, this is a great imaging tool. Go out and make great pictures.

A Classy advanced pocket camera !
This is a classy take on the advanced amateur digital camera theme. The 12MP sensor is larger than most compact camera formats but still smaller than what you'd find in the mirrorless cameras and of course DSLRs. It is coupled with a rare bird - a 28-300mm equivalent zoom lens with a fixed (yes - fixed!) max aperture of 2.8. This glass, coupled with the built in anti-shake system, if developed for an SLR or Mirrorrless would probably weight 3-4kgs and cost 6-8K$!!! In addition there are all the regular controls that blur the line between a compact camera and a mirrorless: aperture, speed, and scene oriented controls of exposure, flexible metering, exposure and flash exposure compensation, a very fast continuous photo taking and on and on. Olympus added their typical set of ... This is a classy take on the advanced amateur digital camera theme. Olympus added their typical set of in-camera filters - some are so-so but a few are really good! The results vary: Typically at lower ISO (up to 400) the image quality is excellent at all focal lengths and apertures. Higher ISO settings however produce grainy results and filters add blur to the image and deteriorate sharpness. Over 1600 ISo the images are borderline in terms of quality and near unusable at higher settings. All in all a flexible, near-pocket-size, high level pocket camera with amazing optics and lots of gizmos to boot :-)

Olympus Stylus 1- Great Travel Camera
Read all the reviews. Watch all of the You-Tube videos. This little camera delivers the goods. Yes, it would be nice if the sensor was a tad larger, however, for Olympus to achieve the balance they wanted in size, weight, lens 28mm/300mm, etc. the 1/1.7 is fine through normal ISO ranges. If you want to do large fine grain enlargements, buy a bigger camera and not this semi-compact. It is a pleasure to use and the WIFI works great.Read all the reviews. Watch all of the You-Tube videos. This little camera delivers the goods. Yes, it would be nice if the sensor was a tad larger, however, for Olympus to achieve the balance they wanted in size, weight, lens 28mm/300mm, etc. the 1/1.7 is fine through normal ISO ranges.
