Ten Point Crossbow String Dampener
This is the second Ten Point String Dampening System I have purchased and modified for my Barnett Ghost 410 crossbows (I have two of these crossbows). Testing with a digital vibration meter at the crossbow and various areas in my insulated shop I found very little difference in sound decibel readings with and with out this system. What this system does, it takes the vibration out of the string when the crossbow is shot and the string comes to rest. The string stops instead of vibrating back and forth causing undue stress. All though this system has to be modified to fit the Barnett Ghost 410, I find it fastens more solidly with the two bolts that pass through the "J" section of the stock as compared to the system recently designed for this crossbow brand which uses two small screws to hold ... Two remove the crossbow riser, this system has to be removed, while the Barnett system does not. To change the cables, I leave the riser on and putting the crossbow in a press I am able to uninstall the cable and remove it, then re install the new cable. Reducing vibration will extend the life of the bow string and associated parts.

TenPoint SDS String Dampening System
I found the String Dampening System both easy to install and very effective on my TenPoint Shadow Ultra-Lite. It eliminated the "twang" that occurred with each shot and made the crossbow quieter. Although a bit pricey, I would definitely purchase this item again now that I know how effective it is. I would recommend this to a friend.

quality product
I installed this on my 10 point Titan HLX crossbow. It installed easily and cut the noise the bow was making by at least 50%. Well worth the money.

Excellent Dampening Device
The String Dampening System (SDS) is a great add-on to my TenPoint Turbo XLT II. It definitely reduces reverberations whenever I shoot my crossbow. It significantly reduced the string pop sound. What a great invention and total concentration to attention to detail. Ingenious!
