Awesome lock, only negative is that the rubber coating isn't durable. Otherwise it comes with plenty of spare keys, the holder seems good enough, and the thickness is sure to make any prick looking for a bike to steal to go find another one. No lock is unbreakable, but this one would sure be an extreme inconvenience to any thief as anything short of an angle grinder will have a hard time getting through it. PROS: Strong, Lots of spare keys, Good value. CONS: Cosmetically not to durable, Heavy and Bulky. Score 4/5 - although at this price you'll have a hard time finding a better lock if the cons are not too much of an issue.

The lead u-lock Manfr, at and above, this priceline, feature 13m/m thick u-bar. But their top-price offering, is distinguished by 17/18m/m u-bar steel. Now, notwithstanding their own patent alloyed steel, it is the thickness, of the U-bar material, and the assumption in the mind of the thief, that time is his enemy, in getting his collar felt! That is the main corollary, to his voluntary choice, to thieve. The main Manfr's got an additional design component, a massively tough steel tube enclosing the locking mechanism, which this item does not share. But the price is 3-4 times that, of this reviewed item. If you use your bike for leisure, visiting the pub or Supermarket, where it's left locked in a lit place, your bike's safe, I believe. But you must run it through the rear triangle, and the rear wheel! not just through the front, or rear wheel. At £23, apiece, you are barely over half the price of the Main Manfr's top offering, and that's for only one! Could get two, and secure both wheels, front to the frame and fixed object, rear through the wheel and triangle, to another fixed object. If secured to a railing, a rusting old 19thC. thing in a Park, may be cast iron, and the thief may cut through them. But he has a still-locked bike, to lug through the streets! If you have a £1500 FRS Classic Downhill bike, that is foolishly ostentatious, to do your regular shop, in the dark, to the Supermarket! Get a Classic 15-year old Trek or Specialized, with only front suspension, off e-Bay, for that! Hope this helps!Vollständige Rezension lesen

This I think is a very good quality lock I'm confident it will keep my fairly expensive bike safe the downside is I couldn't find any position on my bike frame for the lock bracket and its heavy

Well made very solid feeling lock. Sold Secure gold and you can't argue with that. 5 keys supplied too. The shackle has a plastic coating so it shouldn't damage your paintwork. It's not light but that's a good thing because it means it's a pretty substantial bit of kit.
