    If you have an LXD you NEED this book

    As an owner of a computer and telescope store, it is my great pleasure to recommend this book. If you have a Meade LXD 55 or 75 series telescope and you always wanted to know what made it 'tick' than this book is for you. It explains how to use you scope like a pro and even explains how to fix the problems inherent in the early models. If you really want to keep you scope functional for decades than this book will assist you in that. It is almost like having a factory rep with you. You will even learn how to maintain and improve the R.A. and Dec motors. With the advice in this book you can actually improve your scope mount to the level of an LX 200 series mount. Thanks for the book. AtariPC

    I BOUGHT A MEADE LXD55 8" REFLECTOR TELESCOPE,BEING A NEWBIE TO ASTRONOMY,I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT TELESCOPES. I AM VERY LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND THIS INSTRUCTION BOOK ON EBAY AS IT HAS SAVED ME HOURS OF FRUSTRATION IM SURE I WOULD HAVE ENCOUNTERED IF NOT FOR THIS BOOK. IT IS WROTE BY A PERSON WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH THE LXD MODEL TELESCOPE, (REFLECTER AND REFRACTER)AND GIVES A VERY INDEPTH EXPLANATION OF EVERY ASPECT, FROM SETTING IT UP CORRECTLY TO USING IT AS A GO-TO THERE IS NOTHING HE HAS LEFT OUT OF THIS BOOK.INCLUDED ARE NUMEROUS WEB SITES ADDRESS'S TO CONTACT FOR QUESTIONS OR TO PURCHASE EQUIPPMENT.     needed to understand the responsibilities of the 55 and 75 telescopes

    the book is excellent and should be bought by anyone who is serious about a large telescope . the book is full of references and procedures for the ongoing operation of the scope and would be helpful to the advanced owner . this is a good investment in the hobby.

    A User's Guide to the Meade Lxd55 & Lxd75 Telescopes

    This book is well written and very well illustrated with lots of photos, diagrams and reference tables. It is a must-have for every owner of one of these telescope mounts, both newcomers and more advanced amature astronomers alike.

    Excellent book for a LXD55 beginner

    I thought about selling my LXD55 after finding out this scope was a little complex. But after getting this book I am happy I did not. This book explains in terms that I understand and is a wealth of information for these telescopes. Happy I found it.
