Allow plenty of time for Installation, which requires multiple test fittings and trimming of the stiff stainless steel wire stays that secure the fenders to the fork and frame. Only a bolt cutter or a cut-off wheel will do for trimming the stays; diagonal cutters are to too weak for the job. The instructions are vague, and it takes some guesswork to get the stays trimmed to the correct length for your bike.

These fenders are sturdy, built with several safety features to allow the fender to pop off in case debris gets jammed between it and the wheel, and do a good job keeping the mud and water from flinging up on you. According to the package, they are built with thin sheets of aluminum that is then sheathed in a clear resin-like plastic. I had no inclination to cut one apart to find out if it's truly aluminum, but what I can say is that they're quite flexible, quite sturdy, and also look quite good. Partially because their surface is very smooth, they help resist mud caking up inside, which makes them easy to clean. I'd imagine you want to avoid using abrasive scrubbers on it, though, because that would probably put tiny scratches in the smooth plastic, which would grab dirt more. These fenders are designed for 700c tires, but I have successfully installed them on smaller 26" mountain bikes as well, with some coaxing and flexing. If you plan to do this, get these fenders rather than their narrower black cousin. I use both types on different bikes, and the black ones are too narrow to cover most mountain bike tires, and too stiff to flex to the shorter diameter. They fit beautifully on 700c road/hybrid tires, though. The metal struts that support the fenders are longer than you need, which is great, because you can always cut them down to size, but can never add. The struts are flexible enough to be bent by strong hand torque, if necessary to get them to fit with your specific bike frame, but they are solid enough that you have to use a hacksaw to cut them. I don't recommend bolt cutters as they will shear the metal to a sharper point. That said, the fender kit comes with plastic tip protectors that will cover any sharpness. I was slightly concerned about the tips being loose enough that they might fall off during a hard ride, so I put a dab of hot glue inside each of mine. This helps hold them on firmer, but will still safely give way in case of debris jamming in the fender.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Got this set of fenders mainly because of the value relative to its aesthetics. comparable products sell for more. Had no issues installing these on my bike and you shouldn't either if you can follow directions. I used a youtube installation video to figure it all out. There were a few pieces included with the hardware which I didn't need. Overall a great product at a great cost which transformed the look of my bike for the better.

Beautiful, silver color match with my white color bike. A little pricey, front fender tail should be a little more longer.
