Camera is not in "good" shape, it's like "brand new" !! I purchased my first FT-1 back in the 70's and I loved using it. It allowed me to be creative with my photography. Now, as I grow older, I can once again be creative with my photography. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I bought one of these new in 1984 and used it for about 10 years. I have since had two or three others. These are great cameras, one of the first SLRs with built-in motor drive. They were state of the art when new with lots of features. Very easy to use, great selection of lens available. The only caveat is that the electronics are sensitive and they often fail due to batteries being left in them or being stored in humid conditions. They can be repaired but it can be pricey. Look for bodies that are verified to work.
Attracted by low price. On receipt found camera body cannot be opened to check battery compartment. Assume it is sealed by corrosion. Overall appearance is of neglected gear covered in grime, never adequately stored. Objective lens is smeared w/ dried dirt; appears to have been swabbed w/ muddy rag. Considering condition of Sigma lens & Konica body, it is not realistic to assume it can be restored on a cost/benefit basis. Purchase was listed as "untested."

Konica had a well developed series of camera bodies and lenses, this being no exception. Coming later in Konica's lineup the FT-1 had some features not available in previous bodies. The lenses equipped with the entire range were well built and held up well over the decades since production.
