Is a single coil pup with a metal base plate for strat bridge position My strat was very quacky before, thin and piercing sounding. This pup does give a tele like authority to strat rhythm work. This is what i wanted. Of course it also thickens the sound of the pick up for lead work. A little more rocky, less funky. Good for everyone except Niles Rodgers

This is a good sounding pickup and does impart a Tele sound to a stat but the pickup is not wax potted and squeals like a pig. Switching pickups to the bridge makes a loud popping noise and I definitely plan to pot this pickup. I'm sure after potting it will be what I wanted but do wish the pickup was potted from the factory. I have to uninstall pot and reinstall due to this not being done. Big pain in the butt! What's up with that Seymour?

Twang banger is fun. You can hear the Tele-Pop.... and you can hear the Alnico II magnet....Alnico II softer. Breaks up well with medium distortion. But yeah... it sounds very close to a tele.... Gives that bridge pickup in a Strat a cooler vibe. I use the number 3 position as a Bridge pickup now.... Then roll off some of the highs in the return to the Twang Banger Bridge. It's got warm punch.... Different. I have a Seymour Duncan reverse wound Strat pickup in the middle so the 2 position sounds very nice. I'd say it sound more like a hum bucker.... but that's me.

If you're a Strat guy and you need a touch of Tele for your songs, try this pup....Especially if you don't have a Tele in your arsenal or you're just a Strat guy/gal...
