    Far too wordy

    Very disappointed with this book as it was recommended in reviews.The best book by far is by Hugh McManners - the commando survival book- as an outdoor person I would recommend this book as it has the a good proportion of text to pictures. Dave Canterbury.s book has too much text and few pictures - a picture paints a thousand words- is an excellent analogy to utilize when writing an instructional book. Dave's book fails to achieve anything for me it is a very poor attempt to pass on/transfer skills and knowledge. I trust that this review is helpful??

    Great book for an outdoor enthusiast

    Great book for someone who wants to do more in the outdoors and wants to learn the ins and outs of survival. The drawings are lovely and a good section of colour photos of edible and non-edible plants.
