This is one of the best point and click Full motion Video computer games I ever played next to Phantasmagoria and quest for Glory 4:Shadows of Darkness. This game actually inspired me to visit Germany(where most of the scenery was shot at various locals in Germany) It is a werewolf mystery with historical aspects blended in for realism. This was a killer story and the Fmv was good some sound clips were a little tinny but if you do what I did and hook your PC up to a 37 inch LCD Surround sound TV it enhances it quite a bit and makes the screen bigger and playable from the comfort of a couch. The actors in the game I have seen in shows and movies. The star who plays Gabe was in an episode of Frasier, The girl who plays Grace Nakimura was in the 1st Spiderman movie as the bug scientist, The guy who was in Pet Cemetary as Pascow(head trauma victim) has a small part. The old German villager played in an episode of Seinfeld "The Kavorka" episode as the preist. And a few more actors Im sure you could spot. solving puzzles can be easy or downright crazy.I.E splicing the audio tape of a characters recorded conversations and playing it on a phone call to trick someone into opening up a new scene was sort of hard to find out.But that is the beauty of these games because it draws more thought. If you have played it before then it is more like an interactive movie on DVD(I collect those as well and find them very entertaining) I owned this PC game when it came out years ago and it was a adventure in itself to work on a slow computer but on a newer model it runs fine and loads quicker. I dont run it on XP only because I found running it on an old laptop P@ 366 mhz 8xDVD 256 memory 8 mb ATI card with WINDOWS ME did just fine as well as a lot of vintage games.(I never throw away my computers)I wanted to play this game again because the story was so compelling but I sold it off to a PC guy years ago and I thank God for ebay that helped me find it again. This game brought back some nostalgia and just plain made me happy. Roberta Williams and the Sierra team make such awesome memorable games that I keep digging them out.Todays games still blow me away but when the story line is weak or next to none I fall back on my old reliables. I would /will buy more games like this. Adventure is great in many forms and it isnt all running and slashing even though that is fun as anything getting back to basics doesnt hurt. I got this game for a killer price but it is rare and can go for $35 and up on auction(they get harder to find each year)Grab this game and prepare to look, listen and think. It is not a dead genre we are just a society of intant gratifiers who are inpatient to enjoy what is worked for as you will discover with this game.Vollständige Rezension lesen
While a lot of people dislike the blue-screened live action combination of games like GK2, I really enjoyed it. While I absolutely love Tim Curry (who voices Gabriel in GK1 and GK3), in this installment Dean Ericksen and Joanne Takahashi quickly won a place in my heart as Gabriel and Grace, respectively. The story gripped me from the start and most of the acting was quite good. It certainly didn't hurt that I have always wanted to visit Germany, and so was able to get a little "mini-trip" thanks to this game. This game is more of a mystery than a horror, but still has a few creeps in store. A well-written story and characters you can care about make this more than just another video game.
This is the second game in this amazing series and I think probably the best of the series! This has great puzzles and an amazing story that will keep you going throughout. I highly recommend this whole series and especially this game!

its all good even though i am stuck in chapter one. i like the reality of the game and how it uses real digital footage and the character is a real recorded person and so are the non player characters. gives a real movie feal that i have not experienced in a rpg. love mystery too -- lots of it here
