Additional Information
In the midst of World War II, a German U-boat crew is sent out to patrol the Atlantic and fire at Allied ships bringing supplies to England. The submarine also carries a press correspondent, there to report from the front lines of nautical warfare. Meanwhile, the crew's captain (Jurgen Prochnow) is becoming disillusioned with the Nazi regime and with war in general. What starts out as a routine mission is soon livened up beyond the crew's expectations when their boat's surprise attack on a convoy is thwarted by a fast-moving destroyer. Battered by depth charges, the crew must pull together to survive the attacks of their unseen enemy.<BR>Widely considered to be director Wolfgang Petersen's best film and one of the finest German films ever made, DAS BOOT is stunningly realistic in its portrayal of the cramped conditions aboard a German submarine. Based on a novel by Lothar G. Buchheim, it is a striking example of an intelligent antiwar film clothed in the guise of a military thriller.

If anything the record was under-described. I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived, not just because it was well packaged and shrink wrapped, it is a deluxe gatefold edition, 180 gram. The cherry on the cake was the seller offered a 10% reduction on the listed price. I paid £13.61 and the postage was free. I don't leave a review until I have played a record through. It's new and plays flawlessly. It's a great classic listen. Based on my experience I would recommend this seller. Thanks.

No issues with transaction or seller; item as described and whilst packaging was somewhat minimal but did its job.
And that is pertinent because after delivery ( whilst I was out), it took close to two weeks to find the parcel, notified as 'left in safe place' by Royal Mail: that was, in fact, under a large bush, down my garden. The item is a complete X-Files dvd set; not a cheap buy.
No fault of seller, and clearly well intended, but in all honesty, I have numerous neighbours and this was poor

Prompt delivery, however, package had received a severe knock whilst in the post resulting in the case being badly cracked. Contacted Chalkys upon receipt and before unwrapping, weekend so office closed but received auto acknowledgement. Following week problem quickly sorted out by effecient and professional staff.
