This follow-up work pales in comparison to his first Beatle work "HERE THERE & EVERYWHERE". Where the first work was a solo classical guitar take on the fab four, arranged & produced to please the toughest cover song critics. This second venture into Beatle-mania must have been put together quickly to ease pressure from the recording label. Don't get me wrong here, the work has it's moments. The first section arranged for classical guitar is on par with the first album, except "come together" & "Help" these two sound like Polka's, Per Arne Glorvigen on bandoneon (squeeze box). The second and third sections are arranged for guitar & strings, I personally run from string arrangements of pop & rock music, I find them overdone and annoying, a kind of ear graffiti. If string arrangements float your boat I am sure these (Sir George Martin & Leo Brouwer)works will be ear candy. My Rule of Thumb, if the cover isn't better than the original, Why put it out there?Vollständige Rezension lesen
