I've read some reports and reviews of this show that said it had not lived up to expectations. That couldn't be further than the truth! This was one of my favorite Wrestle Manias (I'll list the match line up at the end of the review). It also featured the final match of Stone Cold Steve Austin against his top rival The Rock! There were great bonus features with this DVD, including post match interviews, WrestleMania Retro: 10 Superstars reveal their favorite 'Mania moments, Hogan vs. McMahon: 20 Years in the Making, and also The Night after WrestleMania XIX: Goldberg's WWE debut on RAW, 3.31.03 which was pretty spectacular! This is well worth the money. Here is the full match run down: 1) Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. - WWE Cruiserweight Championship 2) The Undertaker vs. Big Show & A-Train - Handicapped Match 3) Trish vs. Victoria - WWE Women's Championship 4) Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros vs. Benoit/Rhyno - WWE Tag Team Championship 5) Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho 6) HHH vs. Booker T. - World Heavyweight Championship 7) Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon 8) The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin 9) Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt AngleVollständige Rezension lesen
Wrestlemania XIX. Possibly one of the greatest Wrestlemania's to occur. Just for the simple fact is that they built all of the storylines up before hand. All the matches had great consistency. As a Professional Wrestler, I will rate each match. Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio - This match was very good, but they could have done without Shannon Moore. Sure, there was the couple spots with him, but he was not needed. The dirty victory was all right, but it could have done better. It just seemed thrown together, and as it being the first match, it can make the people have a bad mindset for the rest of the pay per view. Especially since it was for the Cruiserweight title too. Undertaker vs. Big Show and A-Train - Good match all around. I disagree with the creative team's idea to have it be a handicap match and have Nathan Jones show up out of no where. It was better than the first match, but it should have been either a tag match or a 1 on 1. Trish Stratus vs. Jazz vs. Victoria - This match is by far one of my favorite female matches. All around good athletes, good story build. What a WM match should be. Also, with the Women's Title on the line, it was a good match. Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros vs. Benoit and Rhyno - a triple threat tag match for the WWE Tag Titles... Wait wasn't that done at Armageddon 2002? Yes, it was. It should have been a 2 team battle, but none the less, it was a good match. Definitely worth a watch. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho - in MY very personal opinion, it is one of the greatest matches in Wrestlemania history. It had a Perfect combo of story build and talent. The storytelling in the match is phenomenal. It's my #4 match in my list of matches of all time. I'm not going to talk about the catfight. That was dumb. Triple H vs. Booker T - This was the Let-down match of the night. The fans: Bored. Triple H: Squashed another superstar. This was my least favorite match of the ENTIRE event. It had a slight build before hand, but it didn't have enough steam. The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - I love this match for the fact that it is another great build and another match that had amazing storytelling. And is there anyone bigger than the Rock and Steve Austin? Nope. Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon - Grab all your old relatives and sit them down for this match. It was a decent match with a lot of classic feeling to it. My folks enjoyed this match more than I did. It had a lot of Hype and a good story to the match. Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle - The match that stole the whole damn show. Brock Lesnar, a huge rising star at that point and Kurt Angle, the greatest wrestler in the world going head to head. There is a reason why all major reviewers give this match 5/5. It does not lack in ANYTHING the match was flawless except the Shooting Star Press that Lesnar miscalculated. He's hit it hundreds of times before, and I have seen him do it. It's a damn shame he missed it. This match is actually #3 on my favorite matches of all time. All in all, the event was amazing. Despite the couple crappy endings and repeating a match type from 3 months prior, it was still very good. I would recommend this Wrestlemania to any wrestling fan.Vollständige Rezension lesen
This is my 2nd favorite WrestleMania (behind Mania 17)...it really shows how the business had changed up to that point & how it would change leading up to today. You had past, present & future on this WrestleMania. You had stars from all era's. From the 80's you had Hogan & Piper. From the 90's Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Taker, Big Show. & Stars from the beginning of the 2000's up to today, Jericho, Kurt Angle, Lesnar, Shelton Benjamin, CHRIS BENOIT, Rey Mysterio, & John Cena Makes an appearance claiming how he would main event Mania 20 (he didnt, but DID win the U.S. Title at Mania 20). This Mania had it all. Out of all WrestleManias i think this falls ONLY behind WrestleMania 17
The previous owner of this DVD obviously kept great care of the DVD including the case but more importantly, the CD . I've purchased used DVDs before where I had to clean the CD . I didn't have to do that . Thanks and appreciation goes to the previous owner and to EBAY

There wasn't anything I didn't like about Wrestlemania 19. I liked all the matches especially the 3 main events. Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon in a Street Fight. The final battle between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. And the Championship Fight Between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar was excellent. I'd give the DVD 5 out of 5 Stars!
