I gave this filter 4 stars. For me no UV filter will ever get 5 stars because for me to give anything 5 stars, it must not only be excellent, but it must be worth the price as well. While this filter is an excellent buy for DSLRs, it is not great at filtering UV light. There are many higher priced UV filters that filter UV light much better than this filter, and would be advantageous when using film, which is sensitive to UV, but digital sensors are very insensitive to UV, and, that makes paying a lot of money for better or even perfect UV filtering a waste of money in my opinion. That being said, I immediately put a UV filter on every lens that I buy, but not for the filtering ability. I do this with inexpensive filters because they do what I want a filter to do just as well as the highest priced UV filters, which is, protect my front glass and make cleaning much easier. Although minor scratches or "cleaning marks" may have little or no effect on photos, they have a great effect on the resale value of a lens. And, by the way, cleaning marks do not exist! Cleaning your glass does not leave marks unless you clean it with steel wool, Ajax or some other product that would, if named correctly, be called "abuse marks". I repair lenses. I've repaired hundreds and cleaned the glass on every one, and I have never left a mark on any of them. "Cleaning marks"is a term invented by someone selling a used lens, and they didn't want to call the marks what they are, abuse marks. You can however clean your UV filter with brillo pads if you so desire, without breaking the budget. Of course you will have to replace the UV filter if you do, but it will only cost you 2 or 3 dollars if you buy cheap filters. There are some very rare instances when a high dollar UV filter may give you a better photo, and very rare instances as well, when no uv filter at all will produce a better photo. But in virtually all cases these photos can be corrected with software such as Photoshop. If you are a pro photographer getting big bucks for your time, it may be worth the $50 and more that you could pay for a very good UV filter. And in that case, you can correctly rate a filter that I consider far over priced, as a 5 stars item.Vollständige Rezension lesen

I bought couple of 72mm and 77mm UV filters, the glass is crsytal clear, bright and smooth surface. fit tight to lens thread. also with good price. currently I use Zeikos filter for all my lens. also I should say I took filter off lens when I take pictures.
The filter works really well, protects my lens. I would recommend it

Works just as I need it.. to protect my 24-70mm lens. This is a bit cheaper than many of the other brands and I can't tell a difference with the pricier ones.
