The first name in music instrument gaming returns with a Rock Band-esque focus on full band simulation, the ability for players to create their own music, and more than 80 new tracks in Guitar Hero: World Tour. For the first time in the series, wannabe rock stars can simulate singing and drumming in addition to the familiar strumming of guitar-shaped controllers, and with the addition of a bass guitar, up to four players can form a band and jam together. As with all titles in the Guitar Hero series, gamers must "play" their instruments by rhythmically matching onscreen prompts in order to earn high scores and unlock new songs. The singing mechanic resembles Karaoke Revolution and SingStar in that it requires vocalists to match the pitch and notes of each song, whereas drummers must be timely when depressing the kick drum and striking the proper combination of drum and cymbal pads.<br><br>A revamped single-player Career mode lets gamers advance their musician through a series of gigs by playing a specific number of songs, with the option to change difficulty level or instrument at any time. The Band Career mode works in a similar fashion, offering up to four players the opportunity to advance through a full career. Boss Battles also return in a form more akin to previous Face-Off modes, and they no longer feature the attack power-ups used in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. Gamers can use the new "Create-a-Rocker" feature to customize the posture, age, hair, makeup, and tattoos of their unique characters, and real-life rock legends such as Ozzy Osbourne, Jim Hendrix, and Ted Nugent are also playable.<br><br>The song list spans several decades and is made up of a diverse selection of master recordings by artists such as: 311, the Allman Brothers Band, the Beastie Boys, Billy Idol, Blondie, Coldplay, the Cult, the Doors, the Eagles, the Foo Fighters, Jane's Addiction, Jimi Hendrix, Korn, Linkin Park, Los Lobos, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Modest Mouse, Motorhead, Nirvana, No Doubt, NOFX, Oasis, Ozzy Osbourne, Pat Benetar, R.E.M, the Sex Pistols, Steely Dan, Sting, the Stone Roses, Sublime, Tool, Van Halen, and Willie Nelson. In addition, players can create their own songs in the Advanced Studio mode by playing tracks for each instrument in either real or slowed time. Songs can be either 1,200 notes long or three minutes in length, but vocal recording is unavailable due to storage issues.

GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR
I like the ability to sound like a rock star musician. You're able to progress from easy to difficult at your own pace. I love the fact that you can play this with your kids. This is really quality time with my daughter. I dislike that not too many songs are on CD's, but that may just be me. I'm not sure how to download extra songs. I decided to buy it because it was one of those things that wanted, but was out of my budget. But, I found a great deal and couldn't pass it up on ebay. Guitar Hero World Tour game
I am a fan of Guitar hero. Being that i am in a family that has musical talent, i figure that Guitar Hero would an ideal game that the entire family can play together. Everyone sings and play different instruments, except the drums. Listening and playing Guitar Hero World Tour gives the adults a sense of nostalgia, while the young ones get an opportunity to listen to what we used to listen to. The entire family plays for many hours from Quickplay to Career mode. The kids really kick out of creating their own rocker. The only disappointment about the game is that it takes to long to load the songs.I am a fan of Guitar hero. Excellent Game
The game is awesome my family is having so much fun with the game that now it became part of “our family spending time together routine”. I’ve invited all my friend and they got so hooked up on the game that now they’re thinking of buying their own and that is good that is the only way that I can get rid of them if they get their own system. Don’t give me wrong I like them a lot but sometimes they are little bit to annoying. In addition, the game has a lot of potential to become one of the greatest games to play with the family years from now it has a potential to beat up “Monopoly”.The game is awesome my family is having so much fun with the game that now it became part of “our family spending time together routine”. I’ve invited all my friend and they got so hooked up on the game that now they’re thinking of buying their own and that is good that is the only way that I can get rid of them if they get their own system. cheaper than buying a 360 or ps3 but a little slower
I ordered this product cause i cant afford a new 360 or ps3 and i was impressed that they would even make this for the ps2. i like the game and it has plenty of song selection but it does seem to be a little slower in the menus than a 360 or ps3 would be but none the less works fine. the drums are a little hard to get used to if youve been playing rock band and sometimes will miss a hit when your playing but im sure there are remedies for that. the guitar is very responsive and should work with other ps2 guitar hero games so its multi purpose. havent really used the mic yet cause i dont sing but it is well made and has an extra long cord so you can sit or stand pretty much anywhere in the room which is good if your playing in small spaces. the titles kind of misleading cause it says ... WorldTour game is A1! Support slow but did replace free
Having a great time playing this game. Had a problem with the drums and found activation support replaced them for free after working with me to try to adjust them. Love the game itself and the fact that the kit is expandable with new games and songs available and coming out faster then I can afford to purchase them. Next I will get the Metallica game to jam to lots of old favorites. This game is user friendly even for my 7 yr old who loves the drums and singing. Would recommend for any talentless musician wannabes like myself. Not the real thing but as close as I'll ever get.Having a great time playing this game. Had a problem with the drums and found activation support replaced them for free after working with me to try to adjust them.
