Very good handset with lot of features
The LG G5 is a smartphone that wants to be different. Instead of aping Apple and Samsung, firms that choose to seal their flagship smartphones firmly shut, LG has gone entirely the other way in 2016. It has completely remodeled its flagship handset to incorporate a removable battery, upgradeable storage and a system that, excitingly, allows users to expand the phone's capabilities through the connection of add-on modules.The LG G5 is a smartphone that wants to be different. Having made the move from IPhone, I I was a little dubious about moving to Android. The phone had mixed reviews but overall it rated reasonably well for me to decide to buy one as opposed to a more expensive Samsung or similar. I have to say that so far I am more than pleased with the ease of use and some great features. The biggest benefit has got to be the ability to carry a spare battery. With modest use it lasts the day but with heavy use it gets low by the evening and that's where the spare battery comes into play. The camera is very good, especially the super wide angle option. It takes much better pictures than my old IPhone 5s but not as good as a DSLR. The rear home button and fingerprint sensor is surprisingly easy to get used to and you can also do a double tap when locked to ... Why do so many people hate these? Do folk not want to save themselves a fortune by buying a phone whose battery can be swapped for another in a minute when the old one reaches the end of its life? Yes, the cameras are exceptional, the screen is beautiful to behold and the 4g connectivity is more sensitive than many far more expensive handsets, but what is the one thing that causes most people to buy their new phone? Battery dying, that's what. I'd still happily be using my HTC oneX if its battery were replaceable easily, without requiring soldering skills and specialist tools had that phone not suffered with sudden battery death as it had wifi direct capability and only really lacked 4G to show its age. Its predecessor, the Legend, is still going as my spare handset because, as LG realised ... Why do so many people hate these? Before anyone makes the usual comment about how wonderful their Samsung is, sure, they're very good too, but cost more, have a weird user interface and often have battery faults reported. Buy the G5, they're at least twice as good as the haters would have us believe!

Best Phone Yet LG G5
I previously had an LG G3 which I liked very much then my wife bought me an LG G5 for my birthday and I was a bit upset that it did not have the volume buttons on the back but after using it for a few weeks I can honestly say that my LG G3 is a distant memory. I really like that it is slightly smaller and fits better in my hand plus the finger print reader is fantastic so sensitive and I find the volume on the phone much better especially as I am a bit hard of hearing (age 77). The camera is also awesome especially the panoramic setting just love it. It can do so much although I really only use it for phone calls but for younger folk who us internet etc I am sure they would love it too. An overall good product
This is a great smart phone with a great screen and extensive functionality and capability. The battery lasts quite long after being used for a whole day taking pictures (after a whole day of sightseeing and taking pictures, there was still some battery left at the end of the day). In addition, the photos that this phone can take are great with lively colours and the second wide angle camera being very useful when taking pictures of enormous monuments or trying to fit as much as possible of a beautiful view in the picture.
