Originally intended for the European and Asian markets the 7390 is a triband 900/1800/1900 MHz GSM device. This limits its usefulness in North America where some carriers make use of the 850 MHz GSM band. The handset I used originated in Denmark and the Internet settings defaulted to a Danish carrier. Carrier limitation aside this phone quite a bit going for it. I've seen this device listed for $1000USD on Amazon - no joke. Someone thinks very highly of it - and hopes you do as well. Let's start with the camera. At 3.15 megapixels and a flash it is a pretty stout offering for a folding phone. Picture quality is decent. Video quality is somewhat blocky but it records at full VGA resolution. This is a quantum leap over the usual mobile phone video record resolution. Music ability includes the music file player and FM radio. Play list based it is really easy to use. Files are saved to either phones memory or to a microSD card. Audio is output either through the above-average sounding speaker or stereo headset. Java™ games are downloadable and some come on the device out of the box. They play well on the 7390. The LCD screens appear to be identical to the module used in the 6126/6131/6133 units. Look for the same 320v x 240h resolution with 24 bit color depth on the interior screen. The exterior screen, being part of the same module, is also identical to the 6126/31/33 units. You'll not confuse the bodies of the 7390 with the 6133. The 7390 is a solid feeling and hefty phone. It has a rugged, squared-off appearance resembling the N75. There are front panel buttons like on the N75 that allow you to scroll through various functions. The User Interface of the 7390 is S40. This is basic Nokia and very easy to learn and operate. Items that are in a menu that do not apply are grayed out. You get a choice of list, grid or grid with labels for menu layout. There is a fairly complete set of information management tools at hand. Notes, calendar, calculator, stop watch, count down timer, and address book. The 7390 has a bit of style to it. The handset I used was encased in creme with dusky pink engraved accents around the outer LCD and on the battery cover. There is a darker version available as well. There is a chrome strip that encircles the phone. Brass tipped buttons operate the power button, camera key, and volume control. The voice quality through the earpiece is quite good. The microphone quality, based upon a message I left on my digital answering machine, is very good. Battery life seems to be okay, nothing exceptional either good or bad. Aside from the lack of the 850 MHz band there is nothing to say against getting this phone. It has no unusual or quirky ways. I was comfortable with it immediately. I've also has long experience with S40 Nokia devices such as the 6133 and the 6301b. It has a camera head and shoulders above most other folders in its price range, handles music well and looks cool.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I prefer Nokia phones; I'm used to them ... however I like to be a little bit different... ! I don't need high-tech; just a reliable & easy to use handset that reflects my peronality. I probably won't make use of most of the functions, but as a retired, disabled & antique-mad widow, this is perfect!
This phone has a very elegant presentation, appealing to the eye, it camera is very good, can take very good pictures, in my country is not an advantage that is 3G, because the band is 2100 and my service provider has 850. I recommend it to anyone who likes a smart phone
