Thumbs up for HEAVY DUTY ALUMINUM 5 STEP DOCK LADDER REMOVABLE BOARDING LADDER AL-A5
My first thumbs up goes to the seller. The product was as described and arrived a full week ahead of the estimated delivery date. My second thumbs up goes to the product. It was very easy to assemble and install. I wanted a ladder that was not completely upright and this one has enough of an angle that climbing out of the water is very easy. This was installed onto a wooden dock. I can't speak to its longevity and toughness as it has only been used for a few weeks, but it appears to be well made and I hope it holds up well. It is also easy to remove from the water so that the stairs remains clean and not algae covered. My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide an extra set of the bolts and pressure plates that mount underneath the dock. I was EXTREMELY careful not to ... Great product that fits our needs! Very heavy duty and goes deep into the water. Installed on the front of our 24 foot pontoon (very easy to install) and works great. The 5 1/2 inch steps make it easy to use and doesn't hurt your feet. The only drawback is that it does take up space on the boat when it is not attached and in the water. I suggest securing it to the boat with a bungee while putting it in the water. If you drop it, it will sink quickly to the bottom. Great swim platform ladder for freshwater lake!
This is nicely balanced between light weight (easy to lift when needed) and solidly built. It came right away, was well packaged, and the small parts were all there in a small box (in a ziplock baggie). We wanted a sturdy ladder for a swimming dock and this is perfect for our lake. The angle and handrails make it easy to climb and the steps are very large so it is easy on bare feet. Installation was easy with simple tools and an electric drill. We’re very happy with it. Be advised that it is aluminum and won’t float on its own. We tied a small boat bumper to it in case it’s off the brackets and slides off the deck. We might also wrap a cut up pool noodle which would also do the same. Overall I believe our money was well spent and we are happy. The only sharp edges are on the ... Makes getting in and out of the water MUCH easier
Recieved this product within 2 days. Mounted it by myself in 15 min. I thought the quality was very good. I did not see the rough welds spatter or sharp edges as written in other reviews. It does hold alot of water. I drilled a small 3/16" hold in the plastic on the bottom of the uprights to help with that issue. This makes getting in and out of the water on my pontoon MUCH easier. I have a fold up ladder on the same pontoon. The fold up worked OK for the grandkids, but I much perfer this one. Just a suggestion, Maybe fill the upright tubes with foam. It would help with the holding water issue and also help with the possibility of falling into the lake and sinking so fast. Recieved this product within 2 days. Mounted it by myself in 15 min. Outstanding Ladder for the Cost
Initially, I had some reservation about buying this ladder. The lower cost than other ladders and some of the reviews were the primary reasons. But thought...what the heck. I'll take a chance and really glad we did. It was shipped and arrived on time. Assembly and installation was very easy. My only recommendation to the manufacturer is to provide a bracket providing additional structural support placing it between the top back side of the ladder and the dock band board.Initially, I had some reservation about buying this ladder. The lower cost than other ladders and some of the reviews were the primary reasons. But thought...what the heck. I'll take a chance and really glad we did. It was shipped and arrived on time. Assembly and installation was very easy. My only recommendation to the manufacturer is to provide a bracket providing additional structural support placing it between the top back side of the ladder and the dock band board.
