    Great study on the chronology of Christs life.

    Recommended by Jim Brown at Grace and Truth in Nashville. Started reading last night and find it well researched, easy to follow and helps bring the scriptures into clearer focus. My thoughts as I started reading is how I didn't realize the importance of the chronological story. I have also purchased the Chronological Gospils from Michael Rood but hadn't started reading it yet. I recommend both works.

    Hoehner's Chronology a must read for Students of Jesus

    A very well developed chronology of the Life of Jesus Christ. Hoehner uses historical facts in the Bible and relates them to secular history and Jewish tradition in order to determine the dates of the major events of the life of Jesus Christ. Hoehner is mentioned as a source, in other books I have read about the life of Jesus, to establish dates. I bought the book as a result of my overall study of the life of Jesus.

    It is an OKAY book, but more for a serious theologeon than just a layman.

    I find it tedious. There is a lot of discussions about details that I BELIEVE should not even be argued. I don't see why there is so much fuss over "what day Christ was born" or "what day He instituted the Last Supper" or "Which day He was crucified" on. Details of when, etc. I don't believe are as important as the facts that they happened. I think that all this fuss was probably why the Jews and many others missed seeing the Messiah in Jesus. They were so focused on details that they missed the important thing. But that is just me.

    Valuable resource

    I thought this book might just be dates and lists but it is a very readable book. And a valuable resource in my library. I recommend it!
