excess Digitech did not want to compete with other multi-effects production company. Of course we all already know, the standard of a multi-effect that there should be a pre-amp Mesa modelar, Marshall Plexi, Fender Twin pre-amp or stompbox renowned as Tubescreamer and Boss DS-1. But whether the special features of a Digitech GNX-3000 which do not possess counterparts other multi effect? There is also the special advantage of this tool are as follows: A. This is a very good sounding pedal. I haven`t had it for that long.I bought it used for $66.00 on E-Bay. And it was a steal for that price. I honestly can say now after playing around with it for about a week that I would have no problem with buying a new one for the full price. The thing I like best so far about it is the stompbox mode. You can get the effect you want and have it clean, then with the 4 pedals by pressing one at a time you can add delay, chorus, distotion, ect. Thats great for live playing.. The tones in themselves are very good.I haven`t even messed with the recording/drum section yet. I gave it 4 stars because the wah is supposed to only turn on by pressing the expression pedal down hard. But I have to turn it on in the menu first with each effect. And it stays on all the time with the expression pedal and don`t turn off by toeing down. But most likely that is just because I haven`t figured it out yet? The manual didn`t come with it and I serched on line and finally found it after about 1/2 hour. But it takes about 15 mins to open on my computer. So I been mostly just playing with buttons and dials ect. to figure it out.But for $66.00 hey! But anyways its a great pedal! So far it totaly blows away the zoom pedal I was using that cost me $125.00 used on ebay.. If it breaks I will buy another one for sure!Vollständige Rezension lesen
This guitar modeling pedal is an exceptional piece of work. Yet with all used and older models there are problems. The volume control on the outside of the box does not work, probably an easy fix. You will have to be patient with the programming, its extensive and takes time to learn all its functions. It did not come with the CD for recording on my computer but I finally found a download on the net. Overall the pedal is well worth what I paid for it.
Seller awesome. I have 2 and they're obsolete so I needed a 3rd. I bought the first one way back when, and it blew away all the other modeling pedalboards (Vox, Line 6, Boss etc) in the $400.00 price range. I compared them all side by side. The GNX 3000 took me a few days to get used to, but once I did customized all user banks via USB using included XEdit software. Very user friendly program that allows you to backup some or all of the patches. I can clone them in 5 minutes. I use a Keeley modded TS9 withe just a tad of gain and the tone knob at 8:00 in front of it and use tube amps. I use a hot rodded gold Squire ($100.00 used) maple neck i hot rodded to match my '92 Strat Plus including Boutique pots, caps and resisters from Mojo Music. I also added a Dimarzio Vintage 2 in the neck, Lace sensor out of my Strat in the middle, Seymour Duncan Lil 59 in the bridge, Dimarzio 5 way switch, TBX pot, Switchcraft input jack and Schaller locking tuners. Besides that it's stock lol. I've had more compliments on my sound that I can count. Word to the wise if you own one of these GNX's: Take off the top of by removing the Allen head screws and a few Phillips screws on the bottom. Remove all the plastic nuts and screws on the input / output / midi side). Carefully lift off the top (foot switches, expression pedal stay connected). Keep the ribbon cables plugged in and move the top away so you can get to the Phillips screws holding the bottom board to the unit. Remove the bottom board (careful with the mic input release button). Notice the the bottom of the unit is bare metal and the components soldered to the bottom board protrude from the under side. My first one blew up 2 hours before a show. The bottom board touched the bare metal and boom. I fixed it by soldering jumper wires where the traces used to be. Before I re-assembled it i trimmed the longer legs of caps, resistors etc. I then covered the entire bottom with non-conductive tape. This is about 5 out of 10 difficulty. I did all 3. Good luck.Vollständige Rezension lesen
This board broughtme back to multiple effects processing. I jumped head first into pedals for a while and then this gem found it's way to me. I am impressed with the amp and cabinet modeling. It works very well for latenight practice or song writing. The output options a very versatile as I run two twin amps instead of a head and cabinet. It also plays well with pedals if you run them after the board. If you put pedals before the board the pedals will be limited and less effective in the signal chain. I'd like to see an extension controller for this or a similar board. I'd like better access to the drum machine and on-the-fly triggering of the expression pedal. Also, a three or four preset quick access to a few favorite programs would be cool. For the price it's a solid mutli-effects.
