I really like my new Router. I was a little skeptical at first buying another Router associated with Linksys, but this particular one is Signatured by Cisco, one company I do trust. Ever since I hooked this jewel up, my internet connection has been faster, and more reliable than ever before. I was almost mad at myself for not getting this model a year ago when another Linksys of mine went out, and I replaced it with the Slim-silver Linksys WRT54G, that used to be provided by Vonage. This little gadget is easy to set up and has 4 ports, plus Wi-Fi. You can't go wrong!
This router is a workhorse, of a type and style not generally seen today. Rugged construction, use DD-WRT firmware to make this little beauty shine. You either love its looks, or find its ancient looking style outdated. If you simply want a "2.4 G signal" to work all day, week, year long, this is an economical choice.

The price was right, appears to work as expected. This one replaced an identical WRT54GL, which developed overheating problems after many, many years. That failure was probably partially my fault, since I had covered the router with another device, which did not allow for adequate cooling. Tip of the day---keep the router in the open and not on top of another heat-generating device, like a modem, either, since the router itself generates some heat which much be dissipated to help prevent heat-related problems. I still highly recommend this model, and give it 5 stars again.

These units are great for those with some knowledge and such. I don't suggest them for those without much computer experience. They can be a bit flaky at times, requiring a reboot from time to time, but most often, they are reliable. I am not just reveiwing this person's 'repeater bridge' but rather all of them out there using the Linksys set up (which seems to be the better of them all). I use one in my truck and another in our camper. I know folks using them to send/recieve signals 4 to 6 houses down. I personally have obtained a great signal from a source about 1/4 mile away in a open area.....but you can do better if you use the right antennas and antenna wire 'aka feedline'. Just keep in mind that you need permission from the person whom's signal you are using...otherwise you are breaking the law... these units are legal and serve a great purpose for many folks.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I didn't purchase this router from ebay, but because of its great features that I have to give it a review. The setup was easy. Work right after taking out from the box. Great signal strength. You could turn this little router into one expensive router by flashing it with DD-WRT firmware. You'll find tons of new features of that firmware installed in your router. So far this router is the best of what I've owned. Linksys rocks that they produce this awesome router.
