Love this baby. Small body is really easy for me as I am a small person! easy to play, deep rich tone. Love the active and passive functions on it but I think i don't spend time on the passive portion on it. Active bass and treble gives a lot of boost on this (i think 20dB) which is noticeably too much- probably never need that much but nice to have that option. Best part is playing it with a full band. That time you'll be able to find the full feature of this!!

Great bass, can adjust saddle string spacing to set to exactly how you like it. Fantastic tone with wide variety of sounds, solidly built German engineering. Only downside is that it's really really heavy.

The bass sounds perfect. It's very comfortable in my hands as i can customize everything... (string distance, nut, bridge... ) It's heavy though (about 4,5 kilos), that is not a problem for me, but maybe for someone else... The only "bad" thing is that there is some buzzin when i touch the volume/tone/magnets control. I thing it's a ground releated problem, that i hope i can fix... (i bought it used...)
In picking a musical instrument is all about the sound. Can you get it to fit in sonically with the rest of the musical enterprise. I been a long time player, over 50 years. This bass is a beast to play, yep it’s like having an anchor around your neck, but what you can get out of it is sheer nirvana. The articulation, especially in the upper registers is impeccable, and with the onboard preamp and EQ you can tweak as much low end you could ever need and or enough treble to break glass. The good news is that since these have been out of production for a while, you can get incredible deals @ 75% of the original retail price.
