Unlocked iphone
I had an existing phone contract will unlimited internet access and a calls and text contract I was happy with and preferred to purchase an unlocked iphone rather than take out a new contract. The iphone came with no instructions and after an initial panic that it wouldn't recognise my 10 year old sim card it was all fine once I'd synchronised with iphones and outlook via the laptop. Just needed to add a few passwords and all functions have worked beautifully since. I breakeven on cost vs. benefit of this in 9 months. So far so good. The product came as new but in a plain box with new earpiece and charger. The sim card pin was not included, but a small drill bit did the trick once I'd located the hole. Greatr product and excellent value for money
I decided to update my phone and decided to purchase a used Iphone 3GS as both my son and daughter have Apple phones. The phone now allows me to get instant update on train times and where the train I require is in its journey. The GPS App has also been very useful in finding places while walking.#don't really have any dislikes as yet. I nevered really compared the product with its competitors but only with the later Iphone models and decided on the 3GS as it did all I required and a used phone I considered the best value for moneyI decided to update my phone and decided to purchase a used Iphone 3GS as both my son and daughter have Apple phones. It's better than I expected.
It was about time I upgraded my mobile phone and I had a bit of money to spare and had heard a lot of hype about the Apple i-Phone,including the media frenzy as to 3G reception. I've had the phone now for about 3 weeks and think I have found what I consider some faults, no it's not the reception. Firstly I like to use the Bluetooth link with a number of devices, computer, car, printer etc, well Apple in their wisdom seem to only allow one pairing so if you want to link from one device to another you have to un-pair the existing pairing. Initialising the phone for the first time can be a pain, you must have the correct size and type of sim, meant i had to have the hassle of going from Pay as You Go to monthly contract, plus the correct type of sim 9okay you can cut down an existing sim but ... The USB connection must not go via any hub, the i-Phone requires a direct connection to the computer, bit of a hassle as these are at the back of the computer. Once I had sorted this last bit out it was easy to use i-Tunes to register the phone. Using the touch screen as a keyboard is fairly okay but the 'keys' are small and I find difficulty with the end ones, I think I have touched them but it doesn't register. I'm a bit concerned as to the battery, mainly as I'm used to being able to take out a battery from my existing phones and placing a spare fully charged on in and the i-Phone battery is non-removable for this scenario. There are plenty of 'apps' available for the i-phone on of my favourit's is Amazon Kindle followed by the Kensington clock/charger (make the phone a bedside clock/alarm whilst charging overnight. I've had no problems as to reception. It's great to use your wi-fi connection to link to the internet, so hopefully saving a bit of money. It is a great, trendy unit which a lot of manufacturers are having bad dreams about.

a real pleasure to use and own,works perfectly as a phone and internet port

Has the potential to be a very good phone - but battery life very poor.
Good phone with loads of apps. which provide plenty of interest and information. Would honetly say that the Battery life is a major flaw . If this was sorted , I personally can't see any other phone competing with the iPhone. I'm contemplating trying the 4 , but once again for the money needed to upgrade , some serious work has to be targeted towards the Battery life.
