There were more versions of the M4 than most people realise. There was the M4, MDa, M4-2, M4-P and MD2. The M4 was the combination of M3 and M2 that finally put 35, 50, 90 and 135 frames in the same body and added a quicker film load and a more modern rewind crank, albeit on a slant. History has shown that the M4 is every bit a rugged and reliable as its forebears. Only the MDa with no rangefinder or viewfinder is more rugged. I use a pair of MDa and a 3.5cm f3.5 Summaron lens with a SBLOO viewfinder plugged into the accessory shoe atop the body. These are my travel cameras with a batteryless meter for reliability in the field. The M4-2 was made in Canada and only in black. The M4-P added 28 and 75mm frames in the viewfinder so we see 28/90, 50/75, 35/135. The MD2, like the M4-2 & M4-P was also made all black in Canada but unlike the MDa had a hotshoe for flas and could be equipped for a winder or motor. The MD2 was made also during the production period of the M6 possibly until 1987-88. Vollständige Rezension lesen
