Briefly: This was bought when i realised my old Dell was never likely to start again. The ThinkPad's are heavy duty, workplace laptops with good to very good performance, with one notable exception for me. The display colours are NOT ideal for looking at photos and so I wouldn't recommend this if this is important. One other comment: the USB 3 ports are on the left hand side, at the front (nearest the user) and are recessed slightly which means that larger accessories - SD card reader - will need an extension cable etc. Likes about this laptop; good speed - enough for me - battery life is better than my old Dell, rear usb will continue to charge a mobile even when laptop has hibernated, rock solid build - wide range of sockets etc. Not so much: heavy - screen colours (where this is important) fan/processor gets loud when speed is ramped up - see above regarding the recessed USB's - Workplace machine so no HDMI or Displayport - only VGA.Vollständige Rezension lesen

This was an ex business laptop less than 4 years old. It had Windows 7 professional, 4gb ram, 320gb hard drive and Intel Core i5 I upgraded to Windows 10 Professional (via assist free upgrade) 8gb ram and a 250gb ssd. The laptop now runs very smoothly and fast. The upgrade was easy as all parts of laptop have easy access. The Lenovo system update installs all the latest driver updates etc. The keyboard is excellent contrary to some quarters and is easy to use. Downsides I found were fan slightly noisy with high pitched sound, the two usb3 sockets are badly placed and the lid flexes slightly when opening. Overall this an excellent machine and I am very happy with it. With a total spend on upgrade and purchase of £270 I am very happy.

But CD door entrance opens alone, whenever it wants. So to watch movies I tape it.

The fact you can up the ram to 16gb and put a quad core in this for half of that of a new laptop I think it’s a brilliant little machine
