Ok! Lots of info about image stabilized binoculars........ well, what do you see with the Fuji 14x40 binoculars. I have spent thousands of hours in Washington state here, looking at mountains, scenery, birds, animals, distant objects, done lots of amateur astronomy....... all with binoculars, spotting scopes and telescopes. Within one hour of getting the Fuji binoculars operating and stabilizing, I saw the best views of Audubon Warblers I have ever seen! That night, I saw the International Space Station. However, I did NOT see structure which I was wondering if I would detect or not. Tho I could not see the rings of Saturn at 14 power, I could tell that Saturn appeared slightly elongated due to the rings. The next day the Fuji binocs gave me the best view of Goldfinches I ever had. Later that day at a Wildlife Recreation area, my shaky Weaver Classic 8x42 binocs (themselves pretty good optics) showed two distant birds at what I guessed was 2 miles. The 14 power stabilized Fuji binocs showed them as Bald Eagles. Then I saw both eagles lock their claws together & spiral and tumble toward the ground disappearing beyond distant trees! Later, a map showed me that the Eagles were not 2 miles away, but 3 miles away! Later that day, one hundred fifty yards from my house in a bald eagle nest, the Fuji binocs showed two chicks for the first time this nesting cycle. The Fuji binocs showed the eyes & nares (nostrils) of the adults...... as well as the flies around the nest. In line with the eagle nest at 100 yards, Red Shafted Flickers showed their intense black spots with the Fuji 14x40 binocs, while the shaky 8 power Weaver binoculars only showed a mottled chest. The Fuji binocs also showed the dark but rich Flicker reds. Later where the Flickers were, it was easy to see the longer beak of a Hairy Woodpecker, as opposed to the Downy Woodpecker. A few days later, the Fuji's gave me some of the best views of Evening Grosbeaks and Rufus-sided Towhees I have had. Only days later still, I saw one bald eagle circle at half mile distance with Red Tailed hawks and another area showed an eagle at one third mile, try to circle with model glider airplanes. ha ha ha The second eagle must have figured out that the model airplanes really could not circle very well and it flew away. I was lucky in some cases to see what I did. I was not diligently looking for extended time periods. But beyond the luck, the Fuji 14x40 binocs gave me details of views I would not have had with non-stabilized binoculars. Tho I have strong 20 power & greater optics, I would not have been viewing through them as much as the much easier to use stabilized Fuji 14x40 binoculars. I do wish the Fuji binoculars had a wider field of view like Canon IS binoculars. Sometimes it is difficult to line up on flying or moving subjects with the 14 power Fuji binoculars. That is why I use my Kanto 7x35 binoculars with their 11 degree field if I really need spaciousness. They work well together, as do the Weaver binoculars. In only 10 (?) days I have seen major interesting events, a few of greater detail than I have ever seen in 62 years of living. Yeah, I will keep my Fuji binocs & count it costly, only because I did not buy them before I did. May the electronics last years & years with no failure.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I think Fujinon's 14x40 Techno-Stabi binoculars are very impressive. The gyros do a great job of allowing you to handhold 14x binoculars and that's amazing. The units are not lightweight but they are manageable and the technology these things possess are wonderful. The optics, while not Swarovski or Zeiss sharp, are still really excellent. The stabilization makes it so much more usable than anything I've ever used. Well done Fuji!

These Fujinon stabilized binoculars work very well for offshore use. The 4 degree adjustment helps soften the movement of the boat and your hands. Gives you a legitimate opportunity to see stuff: birds, boats, signs, whatever. The 14x40 magnification is very impressive for sighting things farther out than my 7x50 fujinon marine binoculars.
I have owned these binoculars for about 2 years, in that time I have found them simply superb in every aspect. What I find amazing is the fact they are so robust and durable and very well made. They are very reliable and give an excellent view, which is very stable when using the stabilizer, and very good when not using the stabilizer, also they are waterproof, highly recommended
all I can say is my other 4 binoculars will never see the light of day. These are fantastic
