This is a great battery which will actually test as advertised to around 3400 mAh. Also, the protective part that prevents it from being over-drained definitely works! This makes it great for constant use and drain/charge applications like LED work lights/headlamps. Also, it's great for solar-charged outdoor LED applications too. It's about 1/8" longer than most batteries of its size, so making it fit in a particular device may mean potential need to modify the device like maybe clipping off part of the battery spring.

I ordered these to replace the LI-Ion battery in a Lax-Max New Generation Portable Fan. That battery is 2 1/2" long and 11/16" wide. The Panasonics are the same width, but are 2 3/4" long, and therefore do not fit the battery compartment in the fan. They are obviously professionally made, and I have no doubt of their quality or value. But the length is not specified, and since I have never seen a replacement battery of any make that differed in size from the original, I didn't think to check it. So I recommend checking your battery's length before ordering these.

As soon as it delivered, I checked voltage, I bought 2 piece and they were both 3.6V. I charged one by one before use and found about 1800mA was charged first time. It's just about half of full capacity so I believe it was under good storage condition. I used it to replace bosch cordless handy blender which had 1300mAh 18650 x 2 to create 7.2v. I researched the dimension of battery and found 18650 will fit no matter what capacity is. so I decided to buy these. I charged them, fix them together to make 7.2V 3400mAh and replaced it to the cordless blender. Now it's working great like brand-new and last longer.

My lithium powered flashlight would run dead after two and a half hrs of constant use and got tired of it. Did my research a came across the PANASONIC NCR18650B'S . What I liked most is not only do they last all day now, iit's the fact that each cell has been tested & rated for the output that is claims to have. So your getting what you paid for. What a novel idea. Hope this helps someone in making an informed decision.

The cell that I received appears to be a genuine Panasonic NCR18650B. Note, however, that the *rated* capacity according to the Panasonic datasheet (see below) is 3,200mAh, not 3,400mAh as stated in some listings. I charged the cell using a lab power supply at a 0.5C rate (1.625A) at constant current until it reached 4.2V, then continued charging at a constant 4.2V until charge current fell to 65mA. After allowing the cell to rest for one hour, I discharged it using a DC electronic load under computer control. Discharge was at a 1C rate (3.25A) to a 2.5V cutoff. These charge and discharge values were taken directly from the datasheet. Voltage was measured *at the cell* throughout charging and discharging. The final result was a measured capacity of 3,246mAh. This value is exactly what you would expect to see, given that I was unable to maintain cell temperature at 20 deg C throughout the test. It got slightly warm during discharge, which lowers recoverable capacity in Li-Ion cells. See the "Discharge Characteristics (by temperature)" graph on the datasheet.
