For backgound, I am a cyclist for over 35 years and have always performed my own bike maintenance and have more recently lightly dipped my toes into fixing other peoples. I had/have a 'cheap' square taper crank extractor that I have used for a number of years on many bikes without issue, but recently misplaced it. I bought another cheap replacement via ebay which appeared to want to pull out of the threads once pressure was applied so consigned that to the bin. As someone who works on a budget, I do understand there are tools you can save on and others where it is best to just pay the money and get what you need. One such tool is this Park Tool remover. Their prices are not cheap but that is reflected in the quality. For Xmas 2020 I asked for a set of their wire cutters. They are £30ish (far more than I would normally spend myself) but they have been briliant, always leaving brake and gear cables neat. They also cut outer cables with ease. I replace my own and other peoples cable alot and they are still as sharp as new. Now I have 2 tools by Park Tools I will be slowly replacing my other no name tools with these. With Park Tools you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Nice quality I am getting to be a bit of a fan of the brand. After striping the threads out of a traditional puller it was last chance so went for the parktool crankpuller. Out of the packet it felt realy nice and pre greased, inserted into the crank nice and easy and I used a lot of force and...it released 👍. Recommend.

This worked for me on a square taper Shimano crank. I gave four stars because, for me, the handle wasn’t long enough to get sufficient leverage. The tool was a good fit into my old crank but I couldn’t get the crank to loosen at first. So I inserted the handle of the tool into a metal pole (of a garden sun umbrella) and used the pole to get more leverage. It then worked easily. Another tip, is to give your old crank a clean first, so the teeth of the tool slide into it cleanly.

very useful and easy to use tool, before i had this tool, i was hammering all day to try and remove my crank, with this tool you just screw it in and the crank pops off.

A very precise tool no messing with spanners and fiddly bits. One tool does the job, good fitting and solid! I wish I had got one a long time ago, buy cheap buy twice!
