The Freud Diablo D1080N is what you need for high quality cuts in plastics and composites. The -5 degree tooth angle scrapes instead of the shearing action that wood requires. This means it should also work on non-ferrous metals like aluminum. The kerf is thinner than all competitors at .094 inch. Freud's packaging is misleading because they say it's good for use with wood products. If you are looking for a good plastics blade without going broke this is it.

I use this blade in my table saw for cutting PVC trim boards. It allows a smooth finish cut that looks fine without sanding. I can resaw to a different thickness with less sanding on the finish. This is by far the best blade I have used for PVC. Not only does it make a smooth cut, I can tell from the sound of the motor that it requires less power to do the same cuts as other blades I have used.

I've used these blades for years and find that they will outlast anything else that I've found for cutting Aluminum extrusions. The only downside is that they are expensive. Keep the blade oiled and it will give you good service.

Use on both table saw and chop saw for aluminum up to 1/2" thick. Gives a very clean cut, requiring minimal effort. The down side is the small shards of al the blade flings everywhere, so wear a face shield when using.

This blade works phenomenally, I have used it in my table saw to cut both 1" thick plastic and 3/8" thick aluminum. Cuts both easily and accurately. Left nice smooth edges in both cases! Well worth the price!
