This book offers some new classes that will save some players time to design such as the Ninja class, while offerring interesting Prestige Classes. As all the complete books does it reiterates subjects that seem to pop up in all class oriented books. Such as new weapons, which are old weapons supersized or twicked to try to make them unique. I have purchased most of the other books such as the Complete Warrior, Divine,Scoundrel, and out of them all I thought this one was my least favorite purchase. I still think the book has merit to those looking to provide new possibities for their Campaign setting. I have played roleplaying games for years, and believe they have greatly improved character generation, and provided many ways to make your character unique by using sumplements such as the complete Adventurer.Vollständige Rezension lesen
This is a,really good supplement book for the game. Most have only a few points of interest. This book has some interesting new character classes (most notably the Ninja), as well as some spells & feats. The only negative things I would point out is the section on skills lacks interest and treats the player as if they couldn't think of those things to do with skills, and the adding more weapons is not needed for the game.

This is a fun book to read, though I think they should have reduced the font size and combined it with a few of the other "complete" books into one volume. This is the only "complete" book I own, and probably the only one I would buy unless they start combining them. Things I liked: New classes: Ninja & scout especially Explanded description of skills New weapons and equipment Things that were just ok: New prestige classes (LOTS of them, some good, some not so good) New feats (the PH has enough already) New spells (ditto) Building organizations
It is a great book for anyone who likes skills-y characters, or just want to add more depth and variety their game. it is 3.5 ed. and possesses lots of new information, including 3 new base classess (ninja, scout, and spellthief), new spells and magic items, new feats, and of course, scads of new prestige classes. A little of the material is recycled from sound and silence( a previous third ed book) but not too much. Like most wizards of the coast books, the art is wonderful and almost all of the material is useful in at least some way. Over all, it is a good addition to most peoples libraries, as it is fairly brimming with fun new stuff for players and dms alike. (and just by way of reviewers credentials, reviewer has played dnd in various editions for the better part of 11 years.)
I bought this book because I wanted to try playing a Fochlucan Lyrist. As yet I haven't been able to, but it's an interesting class mixture. Several other prestige classes work well in this book, too. But it's the feats you really buy this book for. Feats that allow monks and paladins to multiclass with certain other classes, depending on the feat. Open Mind, which gives you 5 extra skill points. This is a book full of good options for players, and I think it works well.
