    Blue Shoes And Happiness

    This is the 7th book in the series of "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency". The TV series was on for 7 weeks on HBO and I really got hooked. What a sweet, wonderful series. If you saw the TV series, you HAVE to read the books to see how close they are to each other. Each book in the series is just as terrific as the one before it. Alexander McCall Smith obviously loves Botswana and by writing his books shows how much he loves Africa. You get a little history in all his books, but mostly a story about his wonderful characters and their trials and tribulations. All I can say is, if you don't read these books, you are missing out on a real treasure.

    About the lives of 3 endearing people of Botswana and the challenges they face in their intertwined personal and professional lives.

    If you enjoy reading about cultures other than your own Eurocentric one, this is highly recommended, as are all of the other books in this series. For those who prefer material without any sexuality, you have found it here.

    Great series. I highly recommend reading them all.

    This is a delightful series. I highly recommend reading them all. Characters and problems are gentle ones. No bloody murders or other messy crimes. Just the wit and wisdom of Mme. Ramotswe and her cohorts.

    Another in the excellent series. Very good reading, intereating style, interesting reading with out a 'too heavy plot.'
