As a general rule, movie-based games aren't usually the best. In fact, in the last decade or so, they're usually among the worst games of all time. However, some of Activision's best games have been based on film titles. Kung Fu Panda is no exception, and excels in the classic 3D Platform style that resembles favorites like Crash Bandicoot. The game play offers a platforming/beat-‘em-up with a variety of upgradable fighting moves and costumes (much like Activision's Spiderman Movie games). There are a few minor flaws with the story and characters, as with most movie games, that don't line up with the film. The game does manage to follow the basic story, and add in new environments, concepts, and characters that were originally intended to be part of the movie*. Classical Chinese sounding music is heard throughout, similar to Hans Zimmer's score from the movie. Some of Kung Fu Panda's cast appears in the game, and popular voice actors fill in for the remaining film stars. The ability to use a compatible Joystick/Controller is a major plus, especially considdering how few games these days allow thumb-joysticks to be used in place of a mouse for looking/camera. Though fairly short, it has a decent replay value. It also includes a Multiplayer fighting mode somewhat similar to that of Super Smash Brothers (though not nearly as good), allowing you to play as a variety of characters. It also has a great library of mini games like Mahjong. All thing considered, it makes for a fun platformer with a decent 7-10 hours of game play (more if you want to collect all items and finish at 100%). I give it an 8/10, an suggest it to the casual player or platform lover. ((*Reference: "The Art of Kung Fu Panda" by Tracey Miller-Zarneke))Vollständige Rezension lesen
