printed instructions say to place the card on the clear plastic and bend the excess over the card to seal it . I don't recommend that way . easier to cut the plastic in half , peel away white paper , lay the card on the clear plastic and then take the other half of the clear plastic and lay smoothly over the other piece . press firmly and trim to fit . excellent way to preserve a business card or other item .

My teenage son never remembers to take his wallet out of his pocket and it has gone through the wash more times than I can count. These things have saved several paper documents such as his lifetime hunting/fishing license. I apply firm pressure and leave about a 1/8th inch edge around the open sides. This has kept everything sealed and waterproof through several washings.

You can't tell from the picture, but each packet comes with 2 4x51/2 inch sheets. I can't say what other states have, but in NC, just 1 sheet is enough to laminate 1 license, and our fishing and hunting license, comes on one all inclusive card.

These work great for covering pictures, cards etc. Very easy to use.

The material was of pretty good quality, not real flimsy, and easy to work with. However, after sticking the two pieces together and trimming the edges around my project, it started to separate in places, but not bad.
