I am an audiophile, but not a vinyl snob, I have an extensive collection but prefer rock, indie stuff, jazz on LP's, whereas with electronica, dance, classical, I prefer it to be digital for fidelity.. This deck sounds good, however the automatic feature kind of sucks it drops the needle about 1/8 of an inch from the actual record (useless) unless you want to hear a bunch of noise and or ruin your needle. So it must be done by hand, the return/stop feature works fine.. I'm sure it's just an adjustment issue, but I genuinely don't care about such a small issue.

This is a great basic turntable and a great value, especially if you can get it used in good condition. I had picked up a cheap Crosley turntable with a built in speaker that just didn’t sound good, very thin sound. What an incredible difference listening to the same records on this turntable. This has some very nice extra features. It is fully automatic, and you can hook it up to a computer via the USB connection and turn your vinyl into digital files. I bought my turntable used and did not come with the software or the cable, but you can use free software like Audacity to do the job. Sure it is a little cheap and light and doesn’t probably sound as good as a more expensive unit, but most will not notice this or need it. Sure it is missing some features on the higher end tables but again most do not need or will miss those as well.Overall I couldn’t be happier with this turntable and would not hesitate suggesting it to anyone looking to upgrade from a Crosley or other cheap turntable or want to get into or back into listening to vinyl.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Very easy to use, Belt replacement easy. SOUND is excellent for an under $100 Turntable. Cartridge replacement easy and at a low cost for a Moving Magnet Cartridge. You could pay $50 more, but you would be wasting your money, The Sony PS-LX300USB Turntable is a great medium level performer, and sounds like a higher end turntable. Does not play 78-speed records.

The RCA cords are hard wired and too short. The USB used to record LPs works fine on Windows 7, but I couldn't get it to work on Windows 10. It loaded the driver when it was plugged but still could not record with the same software on Windows 10. Otherwise, the turntable is fine. If just playing an LP on a receiver that has a dedicated phono input, it's excellent.
