No Plug-in Needed MS Mouse
Perfect in every way but one. The advertised feature of being ABLE TO WORK ON VIRTUALLY ANY SURFACE is not true. I have four of these MS Sculpt Mouses and not one of them is capable of working as required on any surface without a mouse pad. A mouse pad is always needed. However, I am very impressed with all the other benefits and have been using these Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouses for over 2 years on all devices I use. It works great with desktops, Laptops, Notebooks, with no problem with the system they are using. Works with all Windows based devices and works great with devices running the Chrome OS, doesn't matter which brand either, I have used it with Lenovo, Samsung, Acer and HP. Wish I could have given it 5 Stars but it is a pain not to have a mouse pad available to get it to work ... Perfect in every way but one. Great mouse to get!
It's a Windows bluetooth mouse that works for a really good price! Pros: Very good response on various surfaces, cloth, plastic table, wood... Love the Windows button with the back and forward gestures. Cons: Instead of pressing the middle button, it presses the "scroll right and left" button, kind of annoying. The gesture of the "windows" button isn't easy to use, you might wanna do the gesture a couple of times before it works. Note: It hasn't been a while since I bought it so I cannot estimate how good the battery life is.It's a Windows bluetooth mouse that works for a really good price! Well designed bluetooth mouse
I recently purchased a Windows Tablet. It came with a magnetically detachable keyboard. It only has a micro usb port, and a standard usb port in the keyboard. It has bluetooth 4 built in to the tablet. I upgraded to Windows 10. I also installed Microsoft Office 365. I plan to use the windows tablet as a travel netbook. I had read that the Microsoft line of bluetooth mice were very good, and I can say that after installing batteries and turning the mouse on, I pressed the bluetooth enable pairing button on the bottom of the mouse, navigated to the bluetooth settings on the PC, and was able to discover and pair with the mouse in less than 5 minutes total. It glides well on a desktop or mouse pad. I have not had the chance to use all the mouse scroll and button features, but I can say it ... I recently purchased a Windows Tablet. One hell of a basic BT mouse if you can get the right price.
Really nice BT mouse with the quality I've come to expect From Microsoft Input device hardware division. I had a previous generation BT mouse (Targus) that gave me all kinds of connectivity issues that i just tend to expect from that generation of BT technology. With the Sculpt Comfort it looks like those issues have been ironed out. Connectivity was a snap on both a Windows 7 32-bit with BT 3.0 and a Windows 7 64-bit with BT 4.0 PCs. I selected add a device, put the mouse into discovery mode (hold the button until the top light flashes red) and it came up as an option on screen immediately. upon connecting it worked solidly and flawlessly. The furthest I had a receiver was about 4 feet plugged into the back of the PC. The mouse has a nice heft to it and when you do the up and down swipe ... Really nice BT mouse with the quality I've come to expect From Microsoft Input device hardware division. I don't know how much power BT consumes in comparison to the 2.4 ghz but my other modern mouses take 1 AA or AAA battery so going back to 2 AA seems a bit counter productive but as I said that may just be the nature of the BT beast.

I would reccomend this bluetooth mouse. Takes getting use to but worth it.
The mouse is good, the hardware is stable and solid. I don't like how far forward the blue "windows" button is, it feels unnatural to use it and I even have big hands. It needs to be further back to prevent you from having to re-position your hand every time you need to use it. Lastly, and this is something that may save someone their hair pulling. Open "Device Manager", right click your Bluetooth adapter and click "Properties". Under the "General" tab, select "Change Settings". Under the "Power Managment" tab, make sure that "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is NOT checked. If its checked, uncheck it. This will prevent the Bluetooth radio from going into sleep mode and loosing connection with the mouse.The mouse is good, the hardware is stable and solid.
